ADOPTED, to a wonderful home in Hollister. ❤️❤️

STORMI. 2 yr old Australian Kelpie/McNab

Stormi came to us from Los Banos shelter. She was on her last hours before she was due to be euthanized. It was not her behavior, the staff said she was perfect, super friendly with all staff and other dogs. The shelter was too full, and they had to choose the ones who had been there the longest. Stormi had only been there for two weeks. Picked up as a stray in Los Banos and no one came to claim her. We received a very late night text from a very caring staff member, could we please rescue her, at only 2 years old and she does not deserve to die.

Stormi has been in her foster home in Hollister for just over 2 weeks now. She is completely housebroken, loves to go for walks on the leash, is very comfortable traveling in a vehicle. If you would like a dog who loves play ball, fetch, retrieve and drop it at your feet, eagerly waiting for you to throw it again, Stormi is your dog.You can see how she loves her dog bed, and is comfortable being told “go in crate”. Look at that happy face which says “who is going to adopt me, I’m waiting”

Stormi is best suited to a home with NO YOUNG CHILDREN, the energy and noise makes her too nervous. This could be from a previous experience, sadly she cannot tell us. A quieter home with adults and older children will be best. Her breed needs an active family life style with lots of walks and play time. She is good with men and women, she will be a very devoted dog that loves you unconditionally, once she feels comfortable.

Stormi has not been spayed yet, she will be on 12th December and will not be available to be adopted until after she is healed. She has had all her vaccines, blood tests, stool f***l tested, and is microchipped, currently on monthly flea/tick and heart-worm meds. Stormi weighs 43lbs and is fully grown. We can set up meet and greets, with interested approved person(s), who have filled out the application. The Los Banos Shelter reached out to me tonight to see if we can rescue STORM. We only have until Tuesday 14th at 4:00pm or her life will be over. Storm can be petted all over, she is young probably maybe 2 years from her energy level.

Stormi was a pretty shy and timid girl when she first came into the shelter, but she has flourished tremendously! She is such a sweet girl who loves to get all the pets and treats!

She came in as a stray and unfortunately, no owner ever came forward. She has had zero adoption or rescue interest during her time here at our shelter. With that said, Stormi's time to find a plan is running out..she needs a plan on Tuesday, November 14th BY 4 p.m. or she will be euthanized.💔💔

She is only about 2-3 years old and 45 pounds. She is not spayed and unfortunately, we do not have the resources to help with getting her spayed.
Although we can provide DAPPv and Bordetella!✅

This is so cruel and sickening..I hope this “renowned Zoologist” in Australia gets thrown in prison and never gets to come out...How any man can do these acts to to innocent dogs I do not know...as he possessed child po*******hy makes me think what else has he done......and please I’m sick of the wording “he had a mental illness”. He was sick all right.....perverted sick “b”.....I could go on. Please sign this petition.

A famous scientists pleaded guilty to be******ty and the horrific abuse of dozens of defenseless dogs. Demand justice now in this shocking case.

MICHELE L. TILLER

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I post the obituary for Michele Tiller. One taken from us way too soon.

Michele was a HUGE part of this rescue for 14 years, wearing many hats. Not only did she serve as a Board Member, she was a loving foster Mum, adoptive Mum to several of our dogs. We transported many animals, and drove many miles together. We did adoption days in many areas, volunteered for a new start up rescue in Carmel, she volunteered with us at Hollister Animal Shelter. Co hosted many fund raising events over the years, including fashion shows, which her parents were volunteer models. Michele loved hosting the garage sales, she was a whizz at organizing. Her talents were many and endless, and we could not have done without her techinal and artistic skills. Michele volunteered for the job of counting the proceeds, to see how much money we raised, it was gladly handed over to her.

Michele will be deeply missed by all her knew her, in the animal rescue world, especially ACGSR. A bright candle whose flame was extinguished way too early. Rest In Peace my dear friend and thank you for all your time, love and care for our four legged beautiful friends, and the two legged ones too.
Hollister will not be the same without you.

On the funny side, I hope they have good “Bruskies“ in heaven, as I know you enjoyed yours after the long days events.

Michele Tiller
October 6, 1968 - October 11, 2023

Michele Lynn Tiller born on October 6, 1968, died peacefully in her beloved Hollister home on October 11, 2023. Michele loved her community and cherished her Sacred Heart Parish School community where she taught for 28 years after receiving her Bachelor of Science and Masters of Arts Degrees from California State University, Fresno. Most recently, Michele taught fourth grade and was the student council moderator. During her tenure at Sacred Heart, she made countless friends including her principal, fellow teachers, extended staff, and most especially, the children and their parents. The school community has always held a special place in her heart and she was truly loved by them in return.

Michele was preceded in death by her adoring father, Robert, and is survived by her loving mother, Kathleen, her brother, Eric, and many extended family members. Michele was always very family-oriented and enjoyed spending time with and traveling with them.

Michele’s love extended to both dogs and plants. Accordingly, she founded and chaired a charity entitled “Plants 4 Paws." She lovingly grew plants, sold them at various functions and garage sales, subsequently donating the proceeds to various animal charities in the community. It was her way to stay engaged and a part of her two favorite things.

The entire community mourns this wonderful woman who loved freely and unconditionally her students and her animals.



A Funeral Mass at St. Benedict’s Church, 1200 Fairview Road in Hollister, will be held on Saturday, October 21 at 9:30 am, followed by a luncheon at the Sacred Heart School gymnasium located at 670 College Street in Hollister.

The foster home situation has changed, and they are having to fly to Oklahoma for urgent medical issues with aging parents.

LOLA has come a very long way in her current foster home.
She is a very forwarded loving puppy, loves to greet new people.

We know she will be adopted very soon, as her other siblings, COOPER, FRANKIE, and PETEY are now ADOPTED.❤️🐶🐶🐶❤️

If you can foster LOLA , who is crate trained, leash trained, 95% housebroken, super loving, smart and very friendly, and much more. They have been with other dogs, two cats, a teenager and have done very well with young grandchildren who come to visit.

We need a TEMPORARY foster home for two of our Queensland Heeler 11 week old female puppies....this week-end. From Friday at Noon through Sunday 1:00 pm. PUPPIES.
Queensland Heeler/ Dachie cross.
Puppies were born on February 14th, 2023.

There is a lady in the parking lot of Safeway giving these puppies away for FREE. This is not a case of a person who does not care, she has been put in a situation that is very difficult. We are not chastising her, just trying to give these puppies a chance at good homes. These little ones have not had any shots, just a dewormer. ACGSR wants to take them in ASAP but we need foster homes. We have managed to rescue one female puppy and are hoping to get another one, that leaves three to be rescued.

it was with a heavy heart I read this message today from Kathleen Cook of Oakland, who adopted little Ginger from us 11 year ago. Our hearts and prayers go out to the Cook family, Ginger was a constant presence in their lives, traveling everywhere with the family. Thank you for all the love care and devotion you gave to Ginger.

It is with the heaviest of hearts that I need to tell you that Ginger died last week. She suffered with kidney disease for years and thanks to multiple kidney stem cell transplants and the best vet care available, her years were full of life, love and care.

We are writing her obituary and will highlight ACGS. We are FB friends so you will see photos showing her love and zest for life.

We are heartbroken beyond belief - she was my shadow for 11 years.

We and the young man who found it would love nothing more than to reunite her with her family. She is healthy and extremely sweet. She is microchipped but not to her owners but to a rescue in Pennsylvania. All “modern methods“ to contact the rescue so far have not been successful , so we had to revert to using USPS delivery and hope once they receive it they can help us solve the mystery and reunite Her with her family. She has been given a temporary name of “DAISY”.

It is with great sadness I share this to all our ACGSR adopters and supporters.

Ricky who was fostered for us and then adopted by Rosie Pettite and John Cardinelli when they lived in Hollister, passed over The Rainbow Bridge last month in Henderson, Nevada.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Rosie and John for their loss. Ricky could not have had a better home, he traveled far and wide with them in their motorhome. He was a comfort to Rosie during the Covid lockdown.

Rest in sweet peace Ricky, you are now re-united with Jasmine (another foster and then adopted by Rosie and John) she greeted you with kisses and tail wags and met you at The Rainbow Bridge so you did not cross it alone.
