New regulations regarding Gabapentin take into effect in March. Remember to talk with your veterinarian before running out of your pets medications. Gabapentin is primarily used as pain control for animals and can be an option for relief of stress/anxiety during stressful situations. We will no longer be caring this medication in our office therefore a written prescriptions from your vet can allow it to be filled at a variety of pharmacies.

Beginning March 1st a new state law will require veterinarians to report prescriptions of Gabapentin to the state.
