Bo is showing how he truly understands the concept of WAIT at the door. WAIT is one of the 10 commands that we teach during a 12 day board and train. We teach WAIT to mean your dog can walk all around one side of the doorway but is not to step over the threshold. This allows you to bring in groceries, get the mail, etc.… You can go in or out of the house and your dog is not in your way like they would be if we put them in a sit stay.
We train them to hold the WAIT, no matter what’s happening on the other side of the doorway. Treats can be thrown, new dogs can be approaching, dogs can be barking, balls can be bounced, etc.…

Rownan’s family is anticipating a new baby. They wanted to teach Rownan not step on the baby’s mat. He went through Scooter Dog Training’s two week daily training program. I think he learned to walk around mat pretty clearly.  What a good boy!! He also learned 9 other basic obedience commands.
