Lily had too much fun creating and playing in this mud hole today while i was trying to do yard work. By the time I realized what she was doing, it was way too late! 🤣
Even though we are technically closed for intake, I thought I'd share with you all some of what I've been sharing on my personal page all week. A buddy was in town and driving down the interstate and saw a puppy off to the side so he turned around and went back to try to find it. This was the "puppy". He was headed back out of town so, of course, I made an exception and agreed to take him. He's already got a new family committed to giving him a forever home and I'll be taking him over there in the coming days. This little one is sure keeping me busy in the meantime! I've never had a pig before so it's for sure a learning experience!
Muffin and Gumdrop are so counterproductive! 😂 They definitely live life like every second of every day is a party!
I'm making a leaf pile obstacle course for the dogs to enjoy for a bit 😁
***Volume up! But NOT if you are at work!***
Here's a little beagle bay to brighten your Monday, straight from our very own Market Joe!
Hello everyone. We need your help! Due to the last several months of very few adoptions and very limited donations, as well as personal issues with our members, as heartbreaking as it is for me to type this, we have no choice but to seriously consider shutting down. We would love to place as many dogs in loving, compatible homes as possible before having to make that final decision. Please help us out and share these pups with family and friends. They can be adopted to compatible homes locally in MS, TN, or transported to VA, WV, MD, PA and NJ at this time. If one of these pups sounds like they would fit well in your family, please email us at [email protected]
Seymour and Lollipop are 8 month old beagle mixes. Seymour is a male and Lollipop is a female. Lollipop looks like she may be mixed with daschund and Seymour looks like he's mixed with Bassett. Seymour is the mischievous of the two. He's very sweet but loves to run and play. Lollipop loves to run and play too but also loves to be held. They are both in the mid 30s, weight wise. They would probably be ok adopted together as long as they have enough room to have time away from each other too.
Lacy is a female Bassett/lab mix with longer legs. She's just over a year old. She is sweet and has some energy. She gets along well with other dogs but would do best in a home with a male dog companion. She weighes around 45#.
Pierson is a 9 month old male bully mix. He's sweet and extremely submissive with people, rolling on his back any time another dog isn't around. His confidence builds with another dog and he gets hyper and playful. He is short and stocky, weighing about 40#. He and Radar are best friends and can be adopted separate or together. He would be fine with dogs, cats and kids.
Radar is a 11 month old Shepherd mix. He is about 35-40#. He's sweet and submissive and loves attention. He loves to give little kisses. He does well with other dogs and would be fine with cats and kids. He and Pierson coul
This is just too cute not to share with y'all. We went back over to visit with Jag (Chip) Saturday evening and took him some costumes. Is he not the most precious mummy you've ever seen?!?
PSA: This is the head of the momma dog we rescued yesterday. This isn't just a few fleas. This is an infestation. Imagine being a little 6# puppy with fleas like this! This is why everyone should use flea/tick preventative of some sort! She and the babies were treated immediately when I got them home, as well as being vaccinated, wormed, weighed and fed. They are no longer itchy from dancing fleas thankfully!
It's a little chilly here but they don't care. They are too busy playing! #Fulton4
To whom it may concern in Senatobia-Tate County, MS
With the changes that are happening with the Senatobia-Tate County Animal Shelter, the only actual shelter we pull our rescues from, I wanted to voice my opinion. Unfortunately, I'm not in Tate County so there isn't much I can do as far as votes etc. What I can do is voice my opinion and what i have done is spent the last week on this project, with the help of our wonderful adopters. All the posts I've seen with statistics and opinions, I wanted to do something a bit different so I put this video together of most of the dogs our little rescue group, Project Paws, has pulled from the Senatobia-Tate County Animal Shelter over the last few years that have successfully been adopted into loving homes. (We still have a few Senatobia-Tate dogs in rescue and do rescue from the streets and public as well)
Without the current staff at this shelter, mainly Hollie, I cannot say that these completed families would've been possible. This is, by far, the cleanest shelter I have personally ever been in. You can tell the level of pride when you walk through the front door. I've worked with Hollie on every dog we have pulled. She's gone above and beyond to respond to my messages at all hours of the day and well into the night, whether she was at work on the clock or not. She's gone as far as bringing dogs to me when she got off work if I couldn't make it over to get them. I'm 45 minutes away. Regardless of what some may think, the result of not having Hollie on this team will be detrimental to the animals of Tate County, to the rescues that work hand in hand with the shelter to save lives and to the citizens who live there.
Having inmates work at the shelter, in theory, is a somewhat good idea. The reality, though, is it won't work. If you've never worked with animals in the capacity of a rescue or shelter, you have no idea what it takes. The amount of dedication is beyond "regular people". It is a calling. If those inmates aren
For those of you following Ellie Mae...I heard her adorable hound bay for the first time today! Also, it's the first day she's had the energy to full out run! She's looking a lot better and feels great!

After finally getting brave enough to go off the back porch, the potato brothers, Spud and Tater, had a blast. Seeing dogs reactions to their very first snow is priceless!
