Adoption Needed
Couscous is a very sweet girl who needs a calming space to relax and decompress. She is eager to trust and loves belly rubs. She seeks out companionship, and is best with adult humans with no kids or other pets at this time as she is still learning her own boundaries and how to communicate them. While she will occasionally react to other dogs with barking, sometimes she will simply walk away and is happy as long as she has her own space. She does not seem to like cats. Although she gets upset when we leave, she does quickly settle down until she hears us return.
Couscous is not picky with food and seems generally food motivated. She enjoys peanut butter and broccoli as treats, but doesn’t seem to care for carrots.
During her last two days with us, Couscous has started to show a desire to lay with stuffed animals, cuddle next to us on the couch, and be a chatty girl especially when she’s asking for your attention. While she is cautious of human or animal strangers, we do believe that once she feels safe, she may be able to have siblings in the future. She would love someone who can spend a lot of time with her, be her best friend, and she will love you unconditionally.
*Couscous was saved just hours before she was suppose to be euthanized for a bite history. No kids please!
