Although most dogs lick their food bowls clean, the microscopic residue that is left behind harbors multiple types of bacteria, including Salmonella and E. Coli. If your dog eats dry food, bowls should be washed once per day, after the final meal of the night. For dogs that consume wet or raw food, it is necessary to wash and sanitize the bowls after every meal. Water bowls should also be cleaned daily, in order to prevent the growth of molds, yeast, algae, and fungi.

Dr. Connor Bystrom was boating in Big Pine Key when he and his family came across a huge sea turtle in distress. He was severely tangled in a buoy rope. Dr. Connor untangled the turtle and he swam off. Dr Connor’s wife said the sea turtle popped his head out of the water about 45 min later and looked at them, as of saying “thank you”. This was an experience Dr Connor and his family will never forget.
