You may have seen us do an exam on your pet and wonder what we are looking at and why your pet needs a physical exam. Pets are known to hide their symptoms very well which is why we always recommended an annual exam to ensure your pet has a long and healthy life. Having an updated annual exam is also required by law for us to refill any medications or prescription diets.
Give us a call at 941-778-2445 to schedule your pets next examination.
We want to wish all mothers- even if they are only "fur children"- a Happy Mother's Day! 💕

Although most dogs lick their food bowls clean, the microscopic residue that is left behind harbors multiple types of bacteria, including Salmonella and E. Coli. If your dog eats dry food, bowls should be washed once per day, after the final meal of the night. For dogs that consume wet or raw food, it is necessary to wash and sanitize the bowls after every meal. Water bowls should also be cleaned daily, in order to prevent the growth of molds, yeast, algae, and fungi.

This was an experience Dr Connor and his family will never forget.
