I haven't had spots open in a while so don't miss out!!! I have one of the paddocks (shelters, auto waters, dry lot or pasture turnout option) available Ausust 1. This paddock is large enough for multiple horses (same owner) if so desired. Hay 2 x daily. Grain can be fed up to 2 x if provided by owner.

I also have 1 stall and pasture space available.

Barn has sand indoor, sand outdoor, round pen, wash rack, boarder tack room, trailer parking, a few trails on site. 15 mins from Smithville Lake and Watkins Mill.

We are an active barn that rides mainly western BUT would welcome any discipline or style. We have barrels, flags, poles, cavaletties and ground poles for use. There is an obstacle course i set up a few times a year for a week or so at a time weather permitting.

Pasture board $275 - $375
Paddock $375 for 1 horse, additional horses allowed for additional prices
Full Care Stall with Turnout $500

Attention all horse enthusiasts... there are a few horses at the barn looking for new pastures.
Star is a 17 yo old, grade, liver chestnut, qh mare. She has been ridden by all level riders but is currently owned by a beginner rider and her family. She has done play day shows, camps, trails and obstacles. She does fine in a pasture, easy keeper, stands tied and for farrier, barefoot, sound and healthy. Can sit for a while and then ride off with no issues. Current on vaccines and coggins Asking ✌8🍪🍪 obo
Lakota is a 11 year old, grade, sorrel and white, qh type, gelding. He can be pasture or stalled, fine in a mixed herd, easy to catch most of the time but always easy to catch with cookies, stands tied, trailers well. He will stand to be saddled BUT he will require a home that will continue with a trainer. He is green. Not mean just doesn't understand what you are asking. He had a 30 day refresher in the fall but he will need some wet saddle pads. You can pick up his feet to pick them out but he needs a Patient farrier as he needs some work with patience and keeping the foot up and then keeping it forward. He is sweet and has tons of potential.. he's just never been given a chance. Not spooky, curious. Fine with cows and donkeys too!!! Adoption fee☝️8👌👌

SHOW FOR JUNE 3 HAS BEEN CANCELED. The storms made the ground saturated enough that vehicles and trucks and trailer ls will tear up the ground and possibly get stuck. Sorry for any inconvenience. HOPE TO SEE EVERYONE JULY Fun Show SAT July 15.

OK... we are going to go ahead and offer this pretty lady up as a trail deluxe partner. After riding her a few times she is beginner friendly, stands tied, easy to saddle and bridle, does fine in a herd, easy to catch (especially is you bring cookies), trailers well, not spooky, SUPER SWEET. Would be best suited as trail horse that cruises along. No speed or arena work as she doesn't enjoy it. Occasional would be ok but she would prefer to be out and about. Will adopt out on Whiskey Ridge contract. You can apply online at Whiskey Ridge Rescue or in person at Hilltop Farms. Adoption fee is high 🥕🥕🥕.00

Henrietta.. 2007 model, bay, Standardbred mare. If you are not familiar with the breed they are great family horses. Nothing generally bothers them. While I am sure she fits the status quo she will also go through riding assessment to determine what type of people would best suit her. If you have any questions about any of the horses listed let me know. I will keep the updates coming.

OK Barn Family... for those that are thinking about taking the next step in horse ownership I will have 3.. potentially 4... horses from the Whiskey Ridge Rescue that will be available June 1.... if not sooner. They are coming to be assessed and see what level riders needed (most are usually beginner/ family friendly). If you are interested please let me know so I can introduce you and keep you posted on their progress.

Who needs a Christmas Pony? Apollo is a 15 yo, 13+hh, few spot leopard appy, gelding pony. Current on coggins and vaccines. Stands tied, Barefoot, can keep up with big horses with ease, trail ride, play days, obstacles ... nothing bothers him. More go than whoa BUT he is great with kids. The only vice is that he can be a little turd to catch so I keep a breakaway halter on him. He is food motivated so if you have grain or some treats its a fight easily won. Does better with women and kids but eventually warms up to men. Rides double, stout enough for an adult to ride if needed. My teenagers love riding him. He has been used in lessons with advanced beginners and also been leadlined and ponied. Fine in a herd, been around other ponies, horses, donkies, cows and farm equipment. Located 30 mins north of KCMO. Can hold til Christmas for prorated board from purchase date, delivery available Christmas eve/day OR bring kiddos out and give them their surprise in a decorated stall. Super fluffy photos are current, (he has a protein lick and that is the dark smudges on his muzzle) included some summer pics so you can see him more slicked out. Mane and tail for days!!! GIVING TUESDAY
It never occurred to me to put anything out for Giving Tuesday until a client messaged me and asked what she could get for thr barn. SO for Giving Tuesday we are doing a hay drive!!! Anyone who gives to the barn in any amount I will do a drawing for a 30 minute private lesson.
$1-19. 1 entry into drawing
$20-49. 2 entries into drawing
$50- 99. 3 entries into drawing
$100+ 3 entries into drawing PLUS free lesson of
Choice (group or private)

Prices of hay have increased 100%+ in some case the past year.
A square bale feeds 1 horse for 2 days and went from $5 a bale to currently $11.
A round bale will feed 1 horse for 3-4 weeks and has gone from $35-$55 a bale to $55-125 a bale.

So if you are so inclined to help I will take pledges and all monies pledged are due to me (venmo, cash,check or fb pay) no later than Friday. I will do drawing Saturday and contact and post winner. I am going to do this old school and write down everyone's name and actually put it in a hat and have someone else draw a name out..... maybe I will even do it LIVE!!

Calling ALL Horse loving people..... Hilltop Farms is looking for weekend chore help. This includes Saturday morning, Saturday evening and Sunday morning. Feeding, watering, cleaning stalls and letting horses in and out are the main duties. Please do not apply if you can't or won't work if it is hot or cold, raining, snowing or any other weather that good ol Missouri can throw at you. Self starter would be a plus but since this is a set amount per day job if you want to spend all day at the barn and take a break after every stall that is completely up to you. Some horse experience would be great but most things can be taught on the job. Job can be paid or traded for ride time/lessons or combo of both. Teenagers can apply but must have a reliable way to get there. Any questions please message or call/text the barn at 816-929-9260.

OK.. All my horse searching friends... I will be hosting an adoption event for some Whiskey Ridge Rescue fur babies on Thursday June 23rd @ 6 pm. I currently have 4 horses and a donkey that will be there. I will post pics and info on them. There are 2 standardbred geldings, a paint qh gelding and a sorrel qh mare. I also have the sweetest donkey I have ever met!! These will adopt out on the rescue contracts. I might also have a few consignment horses available. There is a bay qh gelding and a black and white paint mare. If you have donations for the rescue I will happily take them to them for you. They have come into puppies and kittens also so feed bowls, food, crates.. things like that are welcome also!!! If any of these horses.. or donkey interst you please send me a message and keep checking the page for pics and additional info!!!

If anyone has a teenager .. or yourself... who wants to help at the fun shows we have a few simple tasks that we can use help for. GATE PERSON, ARENA HELPER, RIBBON PERSON, REGISTRATION HELP. If yoy.need community service hours I can sign off on those also.
