As vet tech appreciation week comes to an end, we would like to personally give a huge round of applause and shout out to all our technicians. We as doctors, tend to get all or most of the credit. The truth is Dr. Jade, Dr. Cohen and I (Dr. Cepero) could not do our jobs, and could not see so many patients on a daily basis, if it wasn’t for these guys right here~ the unsung heroes of Avocado AnimalHospital. We give the orders, but they are the ones pulling blood, running lab work, taking radiographs, administering the medication we prescribed, making sure patients are fed and comfortable. I ask you please take the time to learn their names, because they know yours and your pets. They deserve praise year round, not just one week of the year. Aniel and I could not be prouder of the team we have put together. From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU for all you do!

Dr. Cohen is a Miami native that went to Ross University (like Dr. Cepero and Dr. Jade). She has a deep love for all animals, large and small, and has been very excited to be working with us and all of your furry family members.

❗️Emergency Rescue: Wild Cow Chase! ❗️

This poor and neglected cow was abandoned and left running through rural farm land and dangerous local roads for two weeks!

It was an all- day mission that our SPCA team with local law enforcement took on to track her down. After many long hours and attempts to capture her, Aniel Gomez of Avocado Animal Hospital managed to rope and move her in the trailer.

She is safely residing at the rescue ranch and hope that she will recover soon with the proper love and care she needs! 💕
