‼️🚨 OLDEST RESIDENT BEING EUTHANIZED ANY DAY THE SHELTER IS FULL🚨‼️

Look at him. Sitting alone in the corner of his kennel, heartbroken and defeated. He has been here since June 13th—waiting for someone who never came.

When he first arrived, his face was covered in scars. He has healed on the outside, but inside he is still hurting… still hoping. Despite everything, he remains gentle, sweet, and well-mannered. He listens, he sits, he just wants love.

Now he waits in silence, not understanding why nobody chooses him. His time is running out.

💔 Please—don’t let him die like this. Share him,

$90 Non-Spayed Female (covers spay surgery, rabies vaccine, heartworm test and microchip)
$80 Non-Neutered Males (covers neuter surgery, rabies vaccine, heartworm test and microchip)
$35 Fixed Male or Female (covers impound fee, rabies vaccine, heartworm test and microchip)

501c3 rescues can pull for free (does not cover spay/neuter)

Rescues must provide spay/neuter paperwork to Highlands County Animal Services within 30 days

Please be aware that when you adopt a dog/cat from Animal Services and they go to the veterinarian for their spay/neuter surgery, they will charge you a small fee for a bath & flea/tick prevention.

Kai came in very underweight and missing hair, but has come so far thanks to the wonderful TLC he has received from our vet staff.
He is now ready for his forever home.

Toby story: He was at MDAS losing his mind from confinement for so long and he was scheduled to be euthanized the next day!!

We got an appeal to pull him for an adopter in Massachusetts and this adopter failed him miserably in so many ways and dumped him instead of calling us — he ignored us - he didn’t call the trainers we recommended and didn’t take our help! We had an adoption agreement!

We worked with animal control who helped us to get him to a great dog hotel/boarding place for 12 days and we transported him back.

Now he is back in Miami and thriving.

It’s been a week and he has been decompressing and resting and getting enrichment and exercise and toys and great nourishing food and treats. He’s a good boy who was misunderstood.

He’s working with the amazing Marcela Garcia Bonini dog trainer who is a volunteer advocate at Miami-Dade Animal Services. (See her page for amazing dogs needing homes that she has assessed)

Our vision for Toby is a perfect home. He is a black mouth cur! Lovable and a working dog.
He wants to please. He’s affectionate and was pulling the leash and now he’s so much better from training and working the program.

We have expenses for Toby and could use your help:

Dog hotel in Mass: $480.
Boarding before dog hotel $300
Training: $300

Toby has been through so much!!! Thankfully he is safe now and will live his best life! He was at MDAS on death row--he was there for a long time. Somoeone wanted him in Massachusetts who failed him and he is coming back to us in Miami to decompress and get some training and then to a forever home where he will thrive.

We have paid all expenses for Toby from medical, transport and vetting.

He is now a great doggie hotel and training place where he is having fun and getting tons of attention. It's costing $40 a day and our bill is from Feb 1st to the 14th i
