Heads up everyone! Unfortunately, we have some upcoming changes in office hours. We will be open on Friday, June 17th from 9 am to 1 pm for prescription diet and medication pickups only, as we will not have a doctor in the hospital. We will also be closed on Saturdays in June and July. We will be back in the office for our regular office hours on Monday, June 20th. 🧡🐾

Keep us in mind as you finish up your spring cleaning this year if you have any old linens around that need a new purpose! We are always accepting and very grateful for donations of towels and blankets of all sizes. We use them all over the hospital to help keep our patients comfy and cozy during their time at the hospital! 🧺🐾🧡

Mandy is a lovable, 4 year old, all black domestic short hair kitty looking for her furrever home! 🧡🐾

Mandy was rescued off of the street after Hurricane Irma by her current owner. She is a spunky and independent girl who enjoys spending her days playing in the back yard and relaxing indoors with her owner in between her adventures. Mandy is very loved by her current owner, but her owners husband passed away and she has to move to Alaska to be closer to family. Mandy is a lifelong Florida girl, and is unfortunately unable to accompany her owner to Alaska, so she is looking for a forever home that will love her as much as her current owner. 😻

Mandy is spayed, up to date on all of her vaccines, and is on Revolution Plus for her monthly parasite control. Please reach out if you or someone you know is interested in adding sweet Mandy to the family! 🧡🐾

One year ago today, we lost a deeply loved long time RAH family member, Kym Graham. If you knew Kym, and were lucky enough to be loved by her, you already know that she was the type of person that you only come across once in a lifetime.

Kym was a constant beacon of positivity and had a true servant's heart. Her smile and laugh lit up every room she ever walked into. She was always there for you with kind and inspiring words, or a swift kick in the butt, whichever she felt was most needed at the time. She always encouraged us to be the best version of ourselves each and every day. She was well known for "adopting" people and animals alike, taking them under her wing without a second thought. She was never too busy to lend a helping hand to a lonely or lost soul in need.

This year without Kym has been long and strange. There have been so many days where many of us picked up the phone to call her for a chat or advice, just like we always have. We've shed so many tears together remembering her, sometimes while laughing until our bellies hurt as we think of all the fun times spent together and even all of the times we butted heads with her.

We hope you will join us as we spend the day celebrating and remembering our Kym, enjoying this beautiful weather, and holding our loved ones a little bit closer. If you would like to do something to honor Kym's memory, we encourage you to donate time, supplies, or funds to an animal rescue in your area or another charitable cause you hold close to your heart. 🐾🧡🌻

Fair warning: These photos may be too cute to handle! ⚠️🧡🐾

We had the pleasure of caring for this lovely litter of gorgeous Lab pups recently. We ensured that they started their lives off on the right foot (paw?) with necessary wellness care in a safe and positive Fear Free environment! Our superstar staff members Addie, Josselyn, and Vanessa had their hands full, but definitely enjoyed loving on these precious pups during their visit!

We're so proud to be able to help our puppy patients and their parents by giving these pups a strong foundation of excellent care to begin their long, healthy lives! 🧡🐾

There's no love like the love of a rescued cat! 🧡🐾

Sweet Willow was dumped and way too friendly to be a TNR candidate, so Dr. Bushnell brought her home to RAH! Addie and Vanessa have been working diligently to make her comfortable and help socialize her to prepare her for her forever home. She's make great progress, going from hiding every time someone walked in, to giving Addie some noggin in just a couple of weeks! Such an amazing transformation! 🧡🐾

We couldn't be more thankful to our friends at who are helping us network to find her a home up north in winter wonderland! 🧡🐾

We were so happy to see our friend the other day for her annual wellness visit! 🐾🧡

Roo is a rescue pup who is making a difference in this world! She was pulled from the shelter by our wonderful friends at thisisthedog.org and is now working as a certified therapy dog! Roo uses her platform to inspire, elevate, and educate others. She may be built a little differently, but she doesn't let it slow her down a bit. We can all learn some great lessons from our friend Roo! 🧡

If you are looking for a great cause to donate to this holiday season, This is the Dog is an excellent choice. They are a foster network that works tirelessly to help our community and the animals that need it the most and they always appreciate the help! 🐾🧡

Throwing it back to last week when we rescued a Grackle from a terrible fate 🧡🐾

It's not often that we get serious on this page, but sometimes we need to. Someone left this poor Grackle who was stuck to a glue trap on the bench outside our hospital. Thankfully, we were able to unstick them from the trap with some mineral oil, wash off the oil with some Dawn soap, rinse them clean, and gently release them back into the wild. 🧡

Glue traps are a common, inexpensive choice for pest control, but they are extremely inhumane. Glue traps often catch native wildlife, in addition to the intended targets, and they cause a slow, painful death. There are much better options for pest control out there today. 💔

This little Grackel was very lucky, but if we hadn't found him on our bench quickly enough, something else could have happened to him. He was unattended and defenseless, and a predator, or even one of our patients, could have killed him. If you need help with an animal, PLEASE do not abandon them outside of the hospital. Please come inside and talk to us instead. We are more than happy to help, and if we cannot help directly, we can often lead you in the right direction to get the help required for an animal in need. 🧡🐾

That tail doesn't lie! 🧡🐾🥰 This sweet baby Dream had a rough life before our friends over at @redlanddogsanctuary scooped her up. Her first vet visit went great and her new friends Jillian and Natalie helped her to get that tail wagging like it should be with our Fear Free techniques (baby talk and kisses are definitely part of our Fear Free toolkit for those that enjoy it 😉).
