🐾🐾 Dog of the Week!! 🐾🐾
Here is one beautiful girl to start your week off right! Meet SABRINA, our sweet and loving snuggle bunny.
Sabrina is a funny and active girl at approx. 50 pds. and 18 months old. When she first came to us at 6 months old she was afraid of everything, even grass. She has come a long way with the love and patience of her foster family, but still gets afraid of loud noises and strangers. She has long legs and loves to run and play with other dogs and gets along with cats! She is a lap\couch baby who thinks she is smaller than she is. Sabrina is still a puppy at heart and needs a family who is patient and willing to commit to a life of love and understands how to gently show her the world. This special girl is just another one of our furbabies that has been forgotten. In foster care for over a year. No inquiries. Do you know how hard it is to find a dog that is cat friendly?!
We just know there is a family out there that is perfect for our sweet pretty girl Sabrina. We know there is someone out there willing to give her a chance. Send us a message if you would like to know more about her or meet her. That does not obligate you to anything. We also offer Foster to Adopt, which allows potential adopters to take a dog home for a trial period, without committing to a full adoption immediately. If it isn't the right match, our baby goes right back to their foster. No harm done!
Remember, any Dog of the Week dog that is adopted will receive 50% off the adoption donation. Application MUST be received DURING the week the dog is posted.
As always, PLEASE share!! Last week's post for Glitter reached over 35 shares! Our most ever! Your share could be the one that makes a world of difference for 1 dog. (Also, Gunner that was Dog of the Week 2 weeks ago is now in foster to adopt - all because of ONE person who shared!)
Thank you for following and have a most wonderful and safe week!!

🐾🐾 Dog of the Week!! 🐾🐾
Happy Monday!! This week's most special furbaby is ........ GLITTER!! That's right, Glitter, the most sparkly girl you could ever meet. This sweet girl came into our rescue in October of 2023 as a 3 month old baby who could not walk. She has spent NINE months in foster care. Nine months still without a family of her own. Nine months of growing and learning to use her wheelchair and going to every single adoption event. Nine months with next to no applications. Is she a normal dog? No. Can she walk? Not without her wheelchair. Does she require special care and a diligent hygiene routine? Yes. Does she feel sorry for herself? ABSOLUTELY NOT! When this girl is in her wheels you can't slow her down. She will run and play with all the dogs and anybody who is willing. She is a speedster that can fly like the wind. She is very dog social and sweet as pie.
No dog deserves to spend 9 months in foster care, much less a handicapped one. She is now just over 1 yr. old and approx. 30 pds. Look at her pics. You will see her sweet baby face when she first came into rescue, and more recent pics of her now in her chair. EVERY dog deserves a home to call their own. No dog should grow up in rescue.
Please help us share Glitter far and wide. YOUR shares count! Last week, we got an inquiry for Gunner, thanks to someone who shared his post and a friend of that person saw it. It takes 1 second to hit that share button. If you follow us normally, then you know our biggest ask is to please help share these babies in need.
Remember, any Dog of the Week dog that is adopted will receive 50% off the adoption donation. Application MUST be received DURING the week the dog is posted.
Have a happy and safe week!
To all of our wonderful adopters and supporters, we wish you a safe and happy 4th of July!🇺🇸

You’d think after 9 years the crisis of dog overpopulation would be better, but it’s not- it is tragically worse. We need more of these clinic across the county. That’s a solution Mayor Daniella Levine Cava.
🐾🐾 DOG of the WEEK! 🐾🐾
We introduce to you GUNNER!! This boy is everything you could want in a shepherd and more!! Dog friendly. People and child friendly. Potty trained. Intelligent but snuggly. And can I say HANDSOME! He is on the petite side for a shepherd at only 55ish pds. We do not expect him to grow any larger since he is estimated at 1 1\2 yrs old. He would thrive with a medium to highly active family. Shepherd experience would be a plus. Someone who understands the shepherd working mind and their needs for stimulation. This sweetheart was found as a stray in Redlands (what's new right?) underweight with his bones showing. He showed up at his foster's gate, asking for help. We don't know if it was intuition or fate that led him to the right house, but it was definitely his lucky day. Gunner deserves to finally find a family of his own where he will be cherished and loved unconditionally and never abandoned again.
Remember, any DOG of the WEEK dog that is adopted will receive 50% off of the adoption donation. Application Must be received DURING the week the featured dog is posted.
We are counting on our community and followers to share this post for Gunner. Share it far and wide. Share it with your friends and family out of state! We do transports! YOUR share could be the difference.
Have a safe and blessed week!
All we can say is oh my goodness, this past weekend was extraordinary!! It was just incredible as our rescue This is the Dog! sent up another huge transport to New England, with 49 sweet and healthy cats and kittens and 2 puppies! These babies were all once doomed to die in the streets of Florida, but because of our nonstop rescue efforts, they finally made it into the loving arms of their pre-approved perfect adopters. By now you know how we do it. We rescue sweet cats, kittens, dogs and puppies across south Florida, where the overpopulation problem is a terrible crisis, where animals literally are born to die, where endless rescues scramble day after day to do anything to save them from their tragic fates. And we bring them into our homes, fully vet them, raise them with all of our love, and then find them the most beautiful adopters all across New England. And thank God for those adopters!!
And this summer we're celebrating our 16 year anniversary as a rescue!!! A small 501 c3 rescue making a huge difference! In addition to rescuing, we also offer free spay/neuter, something we're proud to be able to do, utilizing the money we bring in from grants earmarked specifically for this purpose. We donate thousands of pounds of pet food to anyone in bed, in the hopes that if people can afford to feed their pets they won't dump them into the streets or surrender them to the already overpopulated shelters, many of which are actually completely closed to intake as is our own Miami Dade Animal Services. There is nowhere for these pets to go and sadly do many end up just dumped in the streets and left to die. It's just heartbreaking. But we believe that you're either part of the solution, or you're part of the problem, and we've chosen to be part of the solution. Last year alone we were able to fix 619 dogs and cats for FREE for people in the community! That translates into thousands of unwanted puppies and kittens that won't be born into the streets to reproduce or die. We are dedicated to making a DIFFERENCE! And we are so incredibly grateful for all of the people involved in rescue. First, our outstanding team of rescuers. We're not just a group, we're truly a family who love each other and what we do. And all of the trappers, rescuers, fosters, adopters, donors, feeders, volunteers, fundraisers, transporters and veterinary staff. We couldn't do this without our village. Please enjoy some of these photos of the transport, including photos of the babies when they were finally in the hands of their new families.
When will we stop doing this? When the overpopulation tragedy ends and all animals are in living safely in the wonderful homes they deserve. Please consider any ways you can help us achieve this. Adopt Don't Shop. Push you states to offer free spay/neuter services. Open your home to a foster pet. Donate anything you can. Together we can end this crisis. Thank you all!
These are the dogs suffering, abused, and abandoned by YOUR community. Please don't turn a blind eye to this problem. Please stop pretending these cases you see are few and far between. This is EVERY DAY for rescuers. These voiceless souls are suffering because your friends, family, co-workers, etc. don't want to spay\neuter their pets. Please educate them. Please ask them to adopt instead of buying from irresponsible breeders. Dogs like Tyler should have never been born into a life misery and abandonment. Thank you Redland Dog Sanctuary for giving him love.
Big ones and little ones. 800+ at our county shelter.

Pancake was surrendered to rescue by a breeder. After three miscarriages she could not produce pups to sell. She is cute as ever but her body is not in the natural form due to mixed breeding. Her ears have also been butchered. Please adopt from a rescue or shelter, and do not support illegal breeders. It’s that important. Pancake says Woof! Update on Glitter previously known as #A2510369 Canela Miami-Dade Animal Services. Regarding her paralysis - She has been to the neurologist Southeast Veterinary Neurology where she was examined and got an MRI. ❤️We ask for your donations to help us with that bill. Thank you. ❤️ There is a possible bacterial infection in the bone which has caused multiple fractures in 2 of her vertebrae. They are not clean fractures, but instead crumbling bone. Surgery is not suggested - For now long term antibotics and pain meds as needed, (she does not seem to be in pain). We hope as she grows, scar tissue will stabilize the vertebrae. She will never walk normal and will need a wheelchair for her lifetime. Right now the spine is unstable and she has to be on strict rest without a lot of activity. We are planning to get her a wheelchair and also trying to find her the best Home ever. We appreciate your support.
