Meet Mira & Max. They need your help!
Thier owner loved them deeply, but she fell, broke her hip and moved into a nursing home in May. The family has been working to feed and care for them and their owner visits them, but mostly they have been alone for almost 5 months. They are friendly, loving cats and their owner has tearfully surrendered them to Cat Habitat so that we can find them new homes. They will arrive at the PetCo in Homewood IL on Monday Sept 23.
If you can open your heart and your home to this pair, please ask the PetCo staff for an application.
They are 8 years old, friendly, spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and ready for new people to love.

Asha has the home that she has been waiting for! Asha's mom was a feral cat living in a back yard. We were trapping for spay and neuter, but when we trapped one of the crew, she was a very pregnant feral momma. So Asha was born indoors and both mom and kittens were surrounded by love and care. Now both momma and her last kitten have forever homes! Asha.. our love goes with you as you move to your new home.

Pandora has been thriving at her new foster home. She has been there for one week and this 1 yr old former yard kitty, current sweetie pie, has learned about TV, ceiling fans, dishwashers and sleeping in a bed with a human and other cats. She has remained brave and curious throughout all of these new experiences. She also continues to love treats and ear scratches.

She is still looking for a permanent home. If you are interested in considering offering her one, please fill out an application at the Homewood illinois PetCo or respond to this post.

The 3 little one week old kittens have grown! They are exploring their pen and eating cat food. These black kittens that were found in the church parking lot have been joined by a tuxedo kitten who was f9und in the trash. All of these kittens will be ready for adoption in late August or September.

Update: These kittens have a foster home!
THANK YOU!!!

A neighbor had five 7-8 week old kittens in her back yard. Only 2 have survived their first weeks of life outdoors. The two who are left are safe for now, but they need a foster home for about 2 weeks while we get them vaccination and spay/neuter appointments. These cats are old enough to eat cat food and use a litter box. Cat Habitat will pay for all of their expenses. Please let us know if you can help.

We are a small rescue and we cannot help all of the cats who need care. But when someone left 3 little one week old kittens on the asphalt in the parking lot of a local church... we found a way to help. This decision has led to the loss of a lot of sleep as we provide these wee orphans with the weeks of round the clock care that they need.

Happy New Year to 7 month old brothers Kirby & Kelsey. These sweet babes have gone from the happiness of a foster home to the cages at Petco. They are confined to 2 cages and are so wanting to go home. They are a handsome duo who are playful and gentle too. Please stop in Petco to visit them.

Six kittens were rescued near Paws, Chicago. They are now 12 weeks old. All have been adopted except the two black beauties on the right. They are incredibly playful and entertaining. Wouldn't it be nice if they could go to a home together. It's difficult to see one kitten remaining in the cages, alone. Stop in Homewood Petco to visit.
