Boarding alert .

So as you know we don’t ever offer boarding, however, I have a client that I decided to board their two just bc they are use to me and he gets skittish around new people and hides… so with that being said I decided to offer boarding for this period only. May 4th- May 19th. This is the period they will be with me me. 5 spots left .. message if your interested.

This now applies to this week everyone!

I have 3 spots open Thursday and Friday for “all day” meaning you dropnoff at 8 and pick up at 6. This is for working clients or others that don’t mind. All day clients get free daycare, two 15-20 min potty/playtime walks. And weekly activities

We have 1 spot Friday at 10 & 12 and then 4 spots open on Saturday 9-9:30 drop off.

Once again we have no more spots open for PACKAGE clients.

Get ready for the next big change to The Barkside. Asher is going to be swapping to one on one appointments starting soon. This will allow the one on one grooming without all the barking and distraction but also quicker out times . He will still offer 4-6 spots daily, for working clients that can’t pick up until later but they will have an automatic pick up time for those parents to come at.

Why is he doing this?

🐾 Better Bonding with puppy visits
🐾 Quick turn around time
🐾 Less noise for our senior/anxiety dogs
🐾 2 hour appointments with temperamental dogs to have time to learn them and help their fears.
🐾Allows time for holiday photos, weekly activity, or swim time before their groom & doesn’t rush Asher.

He will also be posting a calendar monthly if the weekly activity now that warm weather is approaching.

Its that time of the year again!!!
Be sure you know what your pets undercoat is used for before having a groomer shave your dog down. This actually damages how they regulate their bodies temperuture even if your dog is an inside dog. Their undercoat is there for a reason and its how they cool off in the heat, & warm up in the winter which is why you notice this time of the year, your dog is shedding horribly!

Good morning!!

This is the last time we will be offering packages. Please know packages are not anything I make money off of, it is simply there to help out and make sure dogs remain healthy with their coats and skin. All packages are on sale until tomorrow at 6 after that, there will not be a package option in the future.

All packages are NON-REFUNDABLE, if it is due to me I will compensate back or add on. Some people aren’t reading our rules and or are getting confused about how packages work.

To all package clients or anyone interested in a package…. I will have them on sale today & this is the last chance to purchase a package. I will not be selling them in the future so take advatage while you can.

As most know I am moving to atl next week, (I will still be grooming at the salon) but also the Barkside is hoping to make an expand as well and I won’t be offering package services to anyone in the ATL services.

To explain why The Barkside has discounted packages. The cost of living in Birmingham is high and most jobs in this city don’t pay to meet that expectation. Most people have dogs. Yes we have to make money but I’m fortunate to have a service where I can offer lower cost grooms to help those that can’t afford high cost salons but want that nice look. No I don’t make money off packages, this is solely for your benefit and to make sure these dogs are in good health with their coats, teeth, nails etc. This is also why I only sale a limited amount of each package. I have always been about the dog not the money. So please feel free to inquire about packages .
