Hi Standifer’s Family…

We have a few new faces to introduce so we are starting our Staff Spotlight Wednesday again! If you are new here, this is where we highlight our employees and allow you all to get to know our amazing team that’s taking care of your pets! 🐾

Today's Staff Spotlight is on Gabbi, one of our amazing Kennel Technicians! Gabbi plays a crucial role in providing top-notch care for our furry friends. Though she’s been with us for 10 months, she brings 7 years of experience in the animal care industry.

When Gabbi isn’t working, she enjoys writing and art. Currently, she’s working on a fantasy novel. She also fosters neonate puppies for local humane societies, which speaks to her big heart.

Gabbi has two rescue dogs who are the loves of her life: a 6-year-old Corgi/Husky mix named Mira (pronounced m-EAR-uh) Bear, and a 2-year-old Mastiff/Pitbull mix named Pluto. A few things Gabbi loves about working at Standifer’s include giving pet parents peace of mind knowing their pets are receiving the best care, learning more about veterinary medicine, and being part of a close-knit, family-oriented team that always puts patients first.

Gabbi’s passion for animals and her exceptional attention to detail make her an invaluable member of our team. Her dedication ensures that every pet receives the best care possible, and her commitment to excellence is truly inspiring. Standifer’s wouldn’t be the same without her!

Hey Standifer’s Family!

We’re excited to kick off Staff Spotlight Wednesday again and introduce some of our amazing team members! If you're new here, this is where we shine a light on the faces who help take care of your pets and keep things running smoothly. 🐾

Today’s spotlight is on Emily! Emily is our incredible Kennel Tech and Receptionist, and she plays a vital role in ensuring everything runs seamlessly. Not only does she provide excellent care for all our furry guests, but she’s also the friendly face you’ll see when you walk through the door.

On her days off, Emily loves spending quality time with her family or horseback riding. Fun fact: she’s an all-around Western horseback rider and has been riding since she was 5 years old!

At home, Emily has 3 English Bulldogs and 1 cat. She’s also very close to her family, with her mom, dad, and twin sister living nearby, while the rest of her relatives are up in the Northeast. One of her favorite things about working at Standifer’s is seeing all the happy faces and wagging tails—there’s always so much joy in the air!

Emily’s dedication, passion for animals, and strong work ethic make her an irreplaceable part of our team. We’re so grateful to have her with us!

Does your pet need urgent care? Our team is skilled in offering efficient surgical and diagnostic care. If your furry friend needs urgent care, call us so we can get them feeling better ASAP.

You should bring your pet in for urgent care if they are experiencing any of the following:

- Upset stomach (diarrhea or vomiting)

- Swollen or bloated belly

- Difficulty with bowel movements (constipation)

- Blood in urine or urinary issues

- Dehydration

- Itchy skin or unusual rashes

- Unexplained hair loss

- Limping or general discomfort

- Excessive scooting

- Eye or ear issues

- Pale or discolored gums

- Changes in appetite (eating too little or too much)

- Cuts, scrapes, and abrasions

- Pests like worms, fleas, ticks, or mites

- Ingesting toxins or harmful foods
