We have started dabbling in some new things. Over the weekend I ran several dogs in Open Walking Puppy and Open Walking Derby at the San Antonio GSP Club Walking Field Trial. This is out of my comfort zone and I stayed around to watch, asked questions, listened, and tried to take in as much advice as I could to try to have a better understanding for when I run some of the broke dogs in the future.

Ace was 1st in the derby picking up 2 points towards his FC!

Beans Beans Beans!!

Pending AKC approval, in only 3 weekends of showing, Beans is an AKC Champion at 10 months old! I put the first 3 points on her and handed her off to Aslynn Rose, who put her majors on her. This weekend she was presented beautifully by Brittany LeAnn Suria and a Jr handler, Bentley!

Beans got her first duck! She's coming off a pretty good weekend at the Nolan River Kennel Club dog show in Glen Rose. On Friday she took Reserved to the 4 pt major and Saturday and Sunday she was WB for a 3 point major each day! She's been out 2 weekends and had 9 points with both of her majors.

The GSPCA Health and Welfare Committee is working on beefing up its DNA repository! We need YOU to donate your dog's blood. Starting in January, in Texas at the Sinton shows, and in Oregon at the Rose City Classic Shows in Portland. There are forms to fill out to go along with your donation. Your donation allows schools that are doing research in specific areas, ie Chagas, Hemangiosarcoma, Lymphoma, Epilepsy, etc to pull on our DNA to help their research. All dogs are needed for this! Contact [email protected] if you are interested in setting up a collection event at your shows or specialties!
