Hey friends -

My surgery has been moved up to 1/2/25. Beyond anxiety around the cancer and the treatments, as small, family-run businesses we are very concerned about how our companies will get through the upcoming challenges of 2025. Below are some of the next restrictions we will be facing, and we will need your help and understanding to work through them. We will be back to offering in home appointments as soon as possible.

WHAT IS AQUAMATION?

Aquamation is the use of water, heat, and chemical salts to cremate your pet through alkaline hydrolysis, rather than using fuel and fire as in traditional cremation.

One of the things you can do to maintain a healthy brain for your senior pet is keeping them engaged! Puzzle toys and treat dispensing toys are a great way to do this. Here are our own Shelly and Itty Bitty modeling how much fun these toys can be for kitties of all ages 💕

The gentle nature of aquamation is why each cycle takes up to 24 hours, in comparison to flame cremation, which uses incredibly intense heat to transform pets over 45 minutes to 2 hours. This gentle option has made cremation an option now for those families who were not comfortable with the nature of flame cremation. We are grateful we were able to bring this GREENER, GENTLER option to pets of the Upstate.

Our power is still out, but we are working hard to make sure that as soon as it’s back, we are able to keep getting pets ready to return home to their families. Please reach out if you have any questions about your pet - we are also being delayed with clinic returns as many of them have been closed due to lack of power or phones. We are ready to get these sweet babies home! 💕
