The Haven

The Haven is a 60' x 80 'heated facility with superior anti-fatique mating throughout, which is most beneficial for two and four legged creatures alike.

A fun day was had at Premier Dog Sports & Event Center, LLC. A big thanks to Sherry & Don for your amazing hospitality. 🙏🏻 After some fast and fun agility practice, ice creams & doggy ice creams were enjoyed! 😋 We are so proud of our students and dogs, you all did awesome! Here’s a few highlights from our field trip. 🐶🐾

❤️ Sparks✨9/8/07 to 7/5/20✨❤️

It has become time to celebrate and remember all that was and is Sparks. ✨

Some angels choose fur instead of wings. She got her wings on the Lunar Eclipse and Full Moon of Independence Day, Sunday, July 5 when she passed away peacefully at home, in Mike's arms. She would have wanted it no other way.

Sparks exemplified the phrase I said so often to her, "You are my little Spark of Inspiration." From the first time I met her, she inspired me to dig deeper and try harder to be the person she always thought I was or could become. Sparks' life was a succession of challenges and victories, over countless hurdles and glories, leading us toward an incredible connection.

We Celebrate the Being of Sparks as she flies in freedom and light and wholeness. She has now returned to Perfection.❤️

🐶 Dog of the Week at The Haven! ❤️🐾

Our dog of the week is Alfeya!

1. What’s your dog’s favorite piece of agility equipment?
Alfeya’s fav agility piece is the tunnel.

2. Where’s your dog’s favorite place to go?
Her fav place to go is anywhere as long as she is with her Mom!

3. What’s your dog’s favorite treat?
Favorite treat? are you kiddin'? she's a sheltie! I have NEVER seen her turn her nose up to ANYTHING!

A favourite story about Alfeya from her owner:
EVERY morning after I lift her off the bed, she spins, jumps and grabs the bottom of my pjs - growling and shaking my pant leg! what am I doing? singing "Shoe Fly Pie and Apple Pan Dowdy" clapping my hands and laughing! Crazy way to start the day but makes us happy! That's Alfie's and my song!!!

🐶 Dog of the Week at The Haven! ❤️🐾

Our dog of the week is Piper!

1. What’s your dog’s favorite piece of agility equipment?
The weave poles.

2. Where’s your dog’s favorite place to go?
Agility class and Mendon Ponds Park trails, but anywhere that has somebody that will throw a ball is really great too.

3. What’s your dog’s favorite treat?
Piper eats nearly anything and never thinks she has had enough. It would be easier to say what she doesn’t seem to be excited about— peanut butter flavor treats are not her favorite.
(Although she does like real peanut butter.)

A bit more about Piper:
Piper loves to retrieve balls and small frisbees —especially beach balls that are bigger than she is. She bunts the beach ball all the way back to me.

🐶 Dog of the Week at The Haven! ❤️🐾

Our dog of the week is Windy!

1. What’s your dog’s favorite piece of agility equipment?
Windy loves the contact obstacles the best.

2. Where’s your dog’s favorite place to go?
Windy's favorite place The Haven. Even when we are leaving the building she pulls towards the ring. She loves to learn.

3. What’s your dog’s favorite treat?
She is not fussy about treats but string cheese may be her favorite!

Windy’s owners are sharing more about her:
Treetop Windy is home bred. Her sire Treetop Twister and dam Mousemoor Jewel both are agility dogs and successful field working dogs. Twister was wonderful at CPE and TDAA Agility. He titled well at three National events in three agility venues.. Her brother Thunder is also being trained to do agility.

Windy earned her TDAA beginner games title in 2019 just turning four 1/31/20. She is a very affectionate little dog and has a sense of humor! The four all live in harmony. Windy sleeps under the covers and loves to be warm!

1. What’s your dog’s favorite piece of agility equipment?
Contacts! Nothing beats a flight over the A frame.

2. Where’s your dog’s favorite place to go?
Squirrel coursing (you know, lure coursing...but with furry running creatures that climb trees!) on the golf course

3. What’s your dog’s favorite treat?
Microwaved popcorn. Really.

Elvin’s owners are sharing this story with us:
Elvin loves to be chased. Sometimes on the aforementioned golf course, he entices a woodchuck to chase him. (He has totally lost his terrier license 🙄)
