*Competent: We are a team of Veterinarians, Animal Health Care Nurses and specially trained hospital staff with the judgment and common sense that comes from a combined total of over 100 years of animal experience.

*Compassionate: Whether your pet is here for an exam and vaccines, surgery or an extended hospital stay, we are prepared to make that experience as comfortable and beneficial as poss

ible. Our nursing staff is tuned to the needs of each individual patient. Special care is routine.

*Available: Although we are not an area emergency hospital, for those new to the area and our regular clients, we make every effort to be available in cases of emergency. Our phone is answered 24 hours a day, and a Veterinarian is almost always on call. Sometimes answering your questions or giving advice is all that is necessary.

*Referrals: We welcome referrals of friends, neighbors and relatives. Most of our new clients are patients who come from your recommendations.

*Options:
Each case is unique. We are very interested in your concerns and listen carefully to what you have to tell us. We believe in making you, the client, aware of treatment options. When the need arises, we have access to a variety of excellent specialists to aid our diagnosis and treatment.

*Preventive Medicine:
In the long run, prevention is the least expensive and most effective way to maintain the health of our companions. Timely vaccinations, parasite prevention and treatment, and balanced diets are the cornerstones of good preventive care. We make every attempt to help you, the pet owner, keep your pet happy and healthy. We believe that by practicing quality medicine and surgery, we provide our clients with excellent value.

INTRODUCING A CHANGE TO OUR AFTER HOURS EMERGENCY SERVICE
January 13, 2025

We all know businesses are experiencing staffing difficulties and veterinary practices are no different.
As a result, we’ve found it necessary to make a change in our after hours service.
After hours, our phones will be answered by Guardian Vets, a veterinary-specific phone triage service. Guardian Vets is staffed by Certified Veterinary Technicians (nurses) with a minimum of 3-5 years of emergency hospital experience. They will take messages, speak to you about your concerns, and advise you whether your pet needs immediate care or not. Should your pet need immediate care, they have a list of emergency facilities that WE recommend.
We understand change can be difficult as it is for us, too. So, if you have questions, please call us at 610-273-2887 and speak with our owner, Melissa Detrick.
