Author, medium and weatherman Rob Gutro Author/Medium is my go-to whenever someone tells me they are having a hard time dealing with the death of a pet. His books are always a great source of hope and comfort. The information he provides on how to recognize afterlife signs from deceased pets is straighforward and I am sure you will realize you have already have had some contact.

A lot of my requests for communication sessions come from people who are drowning in grief and guilt over the death of a pet. These feelings can last for months, years and even decades. In every conversation I have had with a pet in spirit, the pet never focuses on his or her dying days or death. They always speak about the gratitude they have for the love thry received and the wonderful life they shared with their people.

People ask me this question often. For me, a big requirement is to feel that I am at 100% physically and mentally to have a communication session with any pet, even my own.

Q&A: Is it easy to connect with spirits?
A: Not always. As with anything, I have to be in the mood to do readings. I just can’t sit down and say “Okay, I’ll connect with people or pets who passed.” I have to put myself in a mental place.
I liken it to cooking. If you’re not in the mood to make a big dinner, you get take out food. If I’m not in the mood to sit and immerse myself in quiet, I won’t be able to tune in. I also have to ensure that stresses are behind me (and how easy is that?!?)
I go to my home office, put on one lamp, play instrumental music, have a cup of coffee, ensure that our dogs are snoozing in the room with me, and then I can tune in.

It has been my experience with my own pets that they will choose to stop eating and drinking as death gets closer. This happened to my pets, regardless of species, and they would usually pass naturally within a week of not eating or days of not drinking.

Do pets immediately transition to the “other side” at death?

QUESTION: From your experience, do pets typically go immediately to the other side or does it vary based on the circumstances at the time?
ANSWER: Pets usually cross over immediately. That's because they can sense a good or bad energy or person. When it's their time, they sense the light is good, peaceful and happiness. So, they are drawn to it. Also, there are often people or other pets waiting for them to help them cross over. You'll often hear people who are failing in hospital beds noting their deceased loved ones (spirits) are in the room waiting for them. It’s the same thing with pets.
It’s very rare they linger behind.

If you are missing a pet in spirit, keep your eyes and heart open as the holidays are a time for “visits”.

A Christmastime Sign from my Weimaraner, Dolly and Dachshund, Franklin
The spirits of our loved ones come around to visit during the holidays and they give us signs. Today's blog is one of those special signs that we got from 2 of our dogs.
It's pretty unusual to see your dog's favorite toy as the ONLY Ice sculpture in the town right next to where you live, and that's exactly what happened over Christmastime to me. Our dogs, Dolly and Franklin loved stuffed yellow toys of Woodstock, the Peanuts bird character (Snoopy's friend). In fact, I have the Woodstock Toy on my bed that Dolly had on her last day. -
Dolly also sends me repeating numbers (which I've seen EVERY day since she passed on Oct 20, 2020) so I know she's around.
This year, I got an extra confirmation she's around with her brother Franklin, who loved the smaller Woodstock toys. How "cool" is that?

Living with Dying: Caring for Your Beloved Pet to the End of Life.

In our evolving relationship and connection to our pets, they go through a few developmental stages (young, adolescent, adult) as we do, an enjoyable life together; they “nourish” our Heart and Soul.

Later, problems appear. When a serious illness develops, it could be life endangerment, a cancer, or a chronic lingering disease such as heart and kidney diseases.

Aging Geriatric pets often have Organ breakdowns: Heart, Kidney, Liver which require a lot of home care as well as veterinary visits.

Through the process of caring for an ailing pet, we worry about keeping our pet comfortable, happy, nourished, free from pain, and how best to improve the pet’s Quality of Life as well as their Longevity.

We seek help and guidance from our close friends, hopefully from a wholistic veterinarian.

On Saturday’s radio show, my wife Jane Winter will be my guest to share her insights to help support the pet owner regarding caring for an ailing pet, or one that is terminally ill.

She is a guidance counselor, educator as well as a certified Family and Marriage Counselor. She has accompanied me over the past 40 years on multiple home euthanasias, and helped support the pet owners through their fears, hopelessness, depression, and heart-breaking losses.

This is so beautiful

If you're afraid that you've given me few caresses, you must know that I haven't forgotten even one.

If you regret scolding me even once, you must know I don't even remember it.
If you think you've left me alone for too long, you must know that I've always been waiting for you.

If you fear that you have devoted little time to me, you must know that I, even that little, have enjoyed every moment.

If you think you played me small, you must know that I never counted the times you threw the ball at me.

If you think I have forgotten your perfume, you must know that even now I am smelling it in the wind.
If you wanted to be reborn in another life, you must know that I would like to be your puppy in that one too.

If you are convinced that you have some flaws, you must know that for me you have been perfect.

If you think love can have an end, you must know that in my heart the place of love is infinite.

If you think you have regrets about me, you must know that I wouldn't change a single second of the life I've spent with you.

If you think I no longer hear your voice when you call me, just trust the sunset breeze the task of bringing me your words.

If you think I can forget your face, you must know I wanted to live just to enjoy your look.
If you think I could have loved someone more than yourself, you must know that I loved you more than I loved myself.

If you think I'd like a soft couch, you know I'd have slept on the rocks with you too.
If you think I wanted more than you gave me, you must know that I have always felt like the happiest puppy in the world.

If you've ever felt lonely, you must know that I never left my place next to you.

If you think my life's been short, you must know that I wouldn't want to live another minute if I hadn't spent it by your side.

If you fear that I'm no longer close to you, know that as soon as you close your eyes I'll fall asleep next to you.
If you think you haven't made the right decision, you must know that I've always trusted you. Always.

If you dream of seeing me again someday, you must know that I'll be there waiting for you like I've always done.

Your pets in spirit may send a variety of signs to you to let you know they are still around. Feathers, especially white ones, appearing in your path may be one of these signs.

WHITE FEATHER

This morning I went to an 8.30am Pilates class (virtuous!) 😂

Anyway, when I returned to my car I had a gift waiting for me.

A pure white feather on the drivers side door.

I couldn’t miss it.

A smile immediately spread on my face.

I think of white feathers as a little hello from heaven.

I thought 💭 who wants to speak with me.

I trust the first thought that comes to my mind…Morgan.

Morgan is my first dog 🐶

He introduced me to Animal Communication.

Essentially, Morgan was on the phone.

He’d possibly tried to reach me telepathically, but I wasn’t listening.

A white feather is equivalent to the phone ringing. 📞

So I’ll make time today to sit down with a journal to enter conversation with Morgan.

White feathers will also appear in purposeful places to let us know our animals on the other side are ok.

Maybe you’ve asked for a sign from your beloved animals?

When you’ve been yearning to know if they are ok?

If they are still with you, or still connected to you?

White feathers are a great sign to ask for and look out for.

It works both ways.

You can ask for a white feather sign.

Animals can also gift you a white feather when you’re not asking because they want to connect with you.

I love the exchange we can have with animals.

Animals have as much free will as we do.

Humans are animals too, after all.

We’re all part of the Animal Kingdom.

We’re all sentient beings, with free will.

A lot of people who contact me want me to talk to their pet who transitioned into spirit by euthanasia. The people often are carrying heavy hearts full of guilt and uncertainty, wondering if they did the right thing. Every pet I have spoken to only focuses on the gratitude they feel as they know the decision was a difficult one that was made out of pure love. That’s all that matters to the pets, the love of their people to free them from pain and suffering in their life on Earth. It is truly a beautiful sentiment these pets feel, gratitude for the pure and unselfish love that made such a heartbreaking decision.

Did you have to make The Decision? Some of you say you "killed" your best friend. You did not. You did a most unselfish thing for them. You put an end to their suffering. You gave them the greatest gift of love you can possibly give. Please take the hour or so it takes to read "It's Not Putting Me Down It's Lifting Me Up". Written from your pet's point of view, it will bring you peace of mind. You will never question your decision again.

The book is FREE. The lesson is priceless. Just click here to download: https://BookHip.com/DCSAKN
