🐾 4th of July Dog Safety Checklist🇺🇸

✅ Keep dogs indoors in AC — especially during fireworks and peak activity times

✅ Create a safe space (crate, quiet room, white noise, toys)

✅ Supervise at all times — do not leave dogs unattended, even in the yard

✅ Limit outdoor time — potty breaks only, on-leash only

✅ Keep all gates, doors, and windows locked or secured

✅ No off-leash play today, even in fenced areas (panic can lead to escape)

✅ Don’t assume your dog is “fine with fireworks” — stress builds up quietly

✅ Watch for signs of stress (panting, pacing, drooling, hiding) and respond calmly

✅ Make sure ID tags, GPS trackers and microchips are current — just in case

Dogs don’t sweat it like we do — literally! Keep your pup safe this summer with some of these quick heat safety tips:

✅ Walk early morning or after sunset
✅ Always pack water for your dog
✅ Check the pavement if it’s too hot
✅ NEVER leave your dog in the car
✅ Watch for signs of heatstroke: heavy panting, drooling, or wobbling
✅ When in doubt always check with your Veterinarian
