These Uncle Larry's chicken feet are so high value that we couldn't even get close to retrieving one without a hilarious evasive move to protect the chicky foot prize.
Of all the body parts on the front table, which are your pup's favorite??? (Cats too!)

I want to share our guest list for Neighborhood Pet Store Day, it is absolutely STELLAR!!! 💫
This Saturday, September 27th, come meet some of the luminaries in the pet industry, as well as many of our local superheroes! You can also grab some FREE goat milk, and FREE gently cooked dog or cat food, as well as delicious chicken jerky and cod skins to munch on while you (and your pets) browse the offerings.

We are so excited to host our friends for Neighborhood Pet Store day!!!
Representatives from the shelter will be here to tell you all about the gorgeous adoptable pups currently available at the shelter. Pictured here you can see Atlas, Butch and Flynn, all of them waiting for their forever homes. 🩵
We usually get the joy of meeting newly adopted HRAAD dogs when they come to the shop for the first time, now it will be really cool to be a part of the outreach team to help get dogs out of the shelter and into permanent homes.
Come by and meet the Adopt a Dog team, they're awesome people doing amazing work. 🙌🙌🙌

Chico would like you to know that he's not collecting royalties, he isn't sponsored, nor is he an ambassador, he just so happens to look a LOT like the vampire dog on the front of the "Love Bites" Halloween dog treat bag. 🧛‍♂️
GivePet is a super awesome company that gives FREE dog treats to shelter dogs, based on the purchasing quantities of retailers. Even better, WE the retailers, get to pick the shelter that those treats go to!

Saturday, September 27th is Neighborhood Pet Store Day!!!
Last year our party was such a HUGE success, and this year our lineup is even better!
You can look forward to BIG weekend deals and sales, 20% off all treats and toys, 50% off summer gear, a "count the bones" guessing game sponsored by , local musicians, raffle baskets, adoptable kitties, guest appearances by pet professionals , and many more!
We'll also have some extra special guests from the pet food industry! The founder and owner of will be here giving out free samples of gently cooked dog and cat food, as well as founder and owner of who will be giving out free pints of goat milk!
We'll have "barkeuterie" cups for pups, filled with pork sausages, .pdx freeze dried cheddar cheese & heart shaped biscuits!
AND... 5% of our daily sales will go to local shelters!!!

Why is this pup so dang cute?!? 😍
Two reasons:
1️⃣ He was just adopted from a rescue in Madras, OR.
👏👏👏
2️⃣ His new mom took him to and washed his old shelter life right down the drain!
🤩🤩🤩
Any guesses what his mix is? (We don't know either, but curious what you think!)
If you haven't tried the new hound wash, you're missing out on maximum fluffiness! It's a self-wash station and everything you need is right there for you, including tubs, ramps, mild shampoos, towels and dryers. It's located on 17th & May Street, across from the aquatic center.
If you come into our shop this month and mention that you used we will give you 10% off your entire purchase!
