We hate to break this to everyone. Tomorrow will be our last day of business at Hancock's Grooming. Sunny will be taking only clients that have been with Hancock's grooming. She will not be taking any more new clients. they will be by appointment only, as she has some other things going on at this time. If you would like for Sunny to keep you as a client, please kindly message her, and she can get you on a schedule once she has everything fixed up in New Boston.

Good Morning,
We had to make a BIG decision, these last two years have been filled with trial and error. We have decided to do away with all of our discounts to the clients that are not on a rebook system. Police, fire, and emt as well as teachers will still receive your discounts, ALL LOYALTY CARDS ARE NO LONGER VALID.

If you would like to receive the senior discount you can do so by setting up reoccurring appointments with us and can get the discounts after the 3rd appointment.

Beginning August 19th I will be open EVERY OTHER Saturday 9AM to 3PM. There will be no appointment necessary and will also do full groom walk-ins!.

We only have 2 options to go back up on our prices or due away with discounts, We do apologize.

Beginning 8/1/23 Will will be back to regular grooming hours:
Full grooms: Wednesday, before lunch on Thursday, and by appointment only on Saturdays.
Bath and nails: We can do those any day walk in until 4:30 PM no appointment needed, And Saturday by appointment only.
All appointments must be made by Friday at 2PM.

We are getting full again, Summer time is here. If your baby needs a good bath and haircut give us a call, or message us! as of now next week is just about full. Very few appointments are left !
As always baths and nails are walk in until 4:30 PM. I will stay late to ensure your baby is done!

Double coat dogs are not meant to be shaved ( #10) there are always the risk of hair not properly growing back. This did not happen at our facility but a group I’m in I thought I’d share. I will do it if you request it but a general rule is it can come with damaging the hair follicles.

So I hate shaving double coated dogs.... when an owner asks me to I always spend a long time talking with them and explaining the risks. In the end if they still want me to ill shave them, but I try my best to talk them out of it.
I had a woman with a Pyrenees and she has always go it shaved. I still talked to her explained how even though it hasn't caused damage yet it could. First I did a 5 and she hated it wanted shorter so I did a 7 next time. I've done a 7 for about 6 other times but every time she asked me to do a 10. I told her no explained the risks each time. She asked every single time and claimed that's what her last groomer did. Finally I was just sick of arguing so after explaining to her the risks again I shaved her dog with a 10..... so now her dog has bald patches that aren't growing in properly. She came for a bath today and it looks like it's spreading and I think she's gonna lose a lot of her hair (think bald pom....). Moms upset and acting absolutely shocked this happened.... dad is LIVID! They took their dog to the vet and the vet said it's because I shaved their dog to short.... I told them I know I did that's why I kept telling you no. Ugh I'm so stressed they're gonna cause a huge stink about this!!! Her current bald patches that have been growing 😵‍💫
