Due to the inclement weather, we will be closing early today, December 2nd, at 1:00 PM to help keep our clients, patients, and team safe.

If your pet experiences an emergency after we close, please contact the Veterinary Emergency Center of Manchester at (603) 666-6677.

We will re-open on Wednesday, December 3rd at 8:00 AM.

Please stay safe on the roads! If you need us before 1:00 PM today, don’t hesitate to call us at (603) 622-5299. 🐾❄️

🦃 Holiday Hours Update from Northside Animal Hospital 🍂

We will be closing early at 12:00pm on Wednesday, November 26th in preparation for the holiday, and will be CLOSED on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27th.

If your pet experiences a medical emergency while we’re closed, please contact the Veterinary Emergency Center of Manchester at 603-666-6677. 🏥🐾

📣 Important Health Alert for Pet Parents

We’ve recently seen an increase in kennel cough cases in our community, and many of these infections are progressing into pneumonia. We want to help you keep your pets safe and healthy!

Upper respiratory infections (URIs) are commonly spread in public pet facilities such as doggy daycares, boarding centers, and grooming shops. It’s a good idea to check in with any facility your pet visits to ensure they are not currently experiencing active cases.

🐶 Please stay alert for signs of a URI, including:
• Coughing
• Gagging or retching
• Wheezing
• Runny nose
• Any unusual respiratory symptoms

If your dog is showing any of these signs, please call us right away at (603) 622-5299 to schedule a visit. Early treatment is key in preventing complications.

🦃 Thanksgiving Week Reminder 🦃
Thanksgiving is right around the corner—Thursday, November 27th—and we want to make sure all of our patients have the medications they need before the holiday.

To ensure our doctors have enough time to review requests and our medical team can complete them, please submit all prescription refill requests by Monday, November 24th.

⏰ Holiday Hours:
• Wednesday, November 26th: Closing early at 12:00 PM noon
• We cannot guarantee same-day refills during holiday weeks

Today, we’re celebrating someone who truly embodies both leadership and kindness — our amazing Practice Manager, Laura!

With over 20 years in the animal care industry, Laura brings compassion, expertise, and heart to everything she does. She not only provides exceptional care for our furry patients but also goes above and beyond to support their humans — creating the special bond that makes Northside feel like family.

Laura’s dedication and skill even earned her recognition as a Top 5 Finalist for the American Humane Hero Veterinary Nurse Award, a reflection of the incredible impact she’s made in veterinary medicine.

Outside of the hospital, Laura continues to give back to her community — serving on the Gilmanton School Board, enjoying the outdoors on New Hampshire’s hiking trails, and gliding across the ice whenever she can. She’s deeply committed to personal growth and to helping our entire team grow alongside her.

We are so grateful for everything you do, Laura — your kindness, strength, and leadership make Northside Animal Hospital the wonderful place it is today. 💚🐾

🐾 November is Pet Diabetes Month! 🐾

Did you know our pets can develop diabetes too? Early detection is key! Keep an eye out for these common warning signs:
💧 Excessive thirst or urination
⚖️ Unexplained weight loss
😴 Lethargy or decreased energy
🐕 Poor coat or skin condition

Regular wellness exams are the best way to catch health issues early and keep your furry family members feeling their best. 🩺❤️
