What do chocolates, grapes, along with many other foods and candies have in common? Dogs are super allergic to them! March 16th to March 22nd is Pet Poison Prevention week! Should your pet find themselves ingesting something they should not, please immediately call the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center at 888-426-4435. If your emergency is happening after business hours, please call the Veterinary Emergency Center of Manchester at (603) 666-6677.

We are so excited to start featuring some Employee Spotlights! To start off our first ever spotlight, we are featuring our amazing Practice Manager, Laura!

⭐ Laura began her career as a Licensed Veterinary Technician in 2003!
⭐ She originally joined Northside in 2020 as a Technician, and became our Practice Manager in December of 2023.
⭐ Originally, she focused her career in horses!
⭐ One of her favorite things in Veterinary Medicine is handling spicy cats.... meow caliente! 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶
⭐ Outside of Veterinary Medicine, she loves to ice skate and be involved in local politics. She is currently running for her School Board in Gilmanton!

You read that right—March is the month of guinea pigs! Did you know Guinea pigs have 20 teeth that never stop growing? They need to eat high-fiber foods like hay to wear down their teeth. Lucky for our Guinea pig owners, we provide services to our pint-sized friends, which also can include teeth trimming when it is needed! Do not forget that Guinea pigs are very social creatures, so if you are adopting one, the more the merrier... Always give your pig a friend (or two!)
