Update for upcoming On the Go's! Trainer Mia has unfortunately broken her shoulder, so we will be cancelling her OTG's to make sure she can get healed up and back to normal so she can teach classes! Jade's OTG's are still on and we would love to have you join still!

If you signed up for one of Mia's sessions please see your email so we can either refund or put that credit towards another class ☺️ And if you didn't receive an email and were signed up please contact me to get it sorted!!

We are offering two classes starting in January! Previously known as Off leash, Hiking 101 will be starting January 11th at 11am meeting at a few different locations throughout the class!

Exposure and Engagement is our new class that is our starter class! If you want to start at the beginning with us and work up this is the class to join first! We welcome any dog to learn how to work through exposing to new things, like surfaces to walk on, things to hear, and objects to see! We also work on what is going to motivate your dog and how to play engagement games with them! This class starts January 22nd at 7pm and will be held at Preppy Paws Academy in Bountiful!

Board and Train Oliver has returned to his home! Ollie came to us for learning how to redirect his destructive tendencies onto other things or outlets, ecollar work, and learning how to be a good citizen in stores! His destructive behavior was out of separation anxiety and we were able to curve that with the help of some meds giving him just a bit more clarity, how to think through instead of straight up panic! He made really good strides with me and will continue to do so with his owners with the outlets and boundaries we gave him. He killed his off leash skills showing he can work around distractions! I'm very proud of this boy!!

Hey everyone! I’m Mia, OG Constructive Canine class attendee, a constant thorn in Jade & Leslie’s side, and lover of string cheese.

YOU GUYS 🥹 When Jade asked me to join her in revamping Constructive Canine into Bark & Bloom I was so excited. I am honored that my friends have trusted me with helping them continue to help you and your dogs. I have made so many friends taking classes from Leslie and Jade over the years, and I’m excited to be apart of their magic. 🪄

I have been training dogs since 2019, focusing on pet manners and off leash skills in private lessons, and board & trains. I’ve also been known to teach a group class here and there. 😉

Many of you have probably met my crew, River my loud mouth husky mix, and my little yellow lab Forest. If you haven’t met us yet, we are excited to get to know you! 💕

Leslie has graciously trusted me with you all and I want to ensure you that you'll be in good hands! I'm excited to offer some new things as well as continuing programs from CC! But first a lil about me!

Howdy! I'm Jade! You've probably seen me around at classes and if you haven't , just kidding, but I focused a lot on our private lesson clients as I really enjoy working one on one with dogs and their owners! I've been working alongside and shadowed Leslie since the summer of 2021 when I took her CGC class with my chocolate lab Tarot (who almost failed food refusal 🤪 just lab things). I am a big believer in continuing my education within this industry, it's ever evolving. I have taken a couple of seminars and plan to continue that in a variety of fields, I take a lil of everything even if it's an agility seminar and apply it to you guys! You can catch me on my off days playing with my dogs either in the mountains, on the agility field, or some casual frisbee! I also am a professional dog sport photographer so if I have to block out some time that seems really wonky I'm probably on a plane (like I am currently while writing this lol) to take some photos of some incredible teams doing what they love!

I'm super excited to offer some new services, so please be on the lookout for what's in store for the future! But I did want to have a little announcement of what will not be continuing.
Rally Obedience will unfortunately no longer be offered (my two Rally Novice titles really say a lot about how much I LOVE rally) but I have great recommendations that I am always happy to give out!
Dock diving lessons will also no longer be offered as this is something that I really like to do for fun but do not have the knowledge or experience to help with! Our friends at SeaDogz are a great resource for dock things and I hope to continue a great relationship with them!

I look forward to hopefully seeing familiar faces at classes and I'll make a post soon announcing our next set of On the Go's as well as traditional classes!

‼️Big Announcement Time‼️
As hard as this is to write, Constructive Canine will be closing for business effective November 1st, 2024. These past 5 years with you guys and this community we have created has been so much more than I ever thought it could be. I am so happy and honored to have worked with all of you, along with the friendships and dogs I’ve been able to meet along the way! I am moving out of state back to the place that brings me so much happiness and I wish I could bring you all with me.
Thank you for trusting me with your dogs, with their learning, and helping me evolve and become the trainer I am today. You guys are absolutely the reason I loved being a dog trainer.
We have OTG scheduled until I leave, and a fun off leash group class too!
And a little sprinkle of info, stay on the lookout for some updates and more things to come and be announced in the next couple weeks. (Hint: OTG isn’t going away 😉). The new updates will leave you guys in capable and trustworthy hands.
I love all of you, thank you for being who you are!

Upcoming Intro to Ecollar/Off Leash Group Class!
📣Last one of 2024!📣

Come hang with us for 6 weeks learning all the benefits an ecollar has to offer you and your dog! From commands to off-leash freedom, this group will help prepare you to take your dog off-leash or refine commands in your day-to-day life. First two weeks will cover all things ecollar inside and out, and the last 4 weeks will put those skills into the real world.

Dates: Mondays starting September 16th
Time: 7:00pm
Locations: Salt Lake Valley in various parks and trails
Cost: $200
Requirements: Passed Beginner Obedience or have equivalent training that is pre-approved by one of our trainers though lessons or board and training.

This class does not include an ecollar, so all participants will be required to bring their own. Only appropriate collars such as Ecollar Technologies, Garmin, or SportDog will be allowed. Reach out to us for recommendations if you are in need of purchasing one for class!
