There *is* some truth to the belief that dogs are a good judge of character. Research has shown through their keen sense of smell and skilled read on human body language and cues, dogs will sometimes use that information to form an opinion of a person. A dog's sense of smell is 1000 times stronger than humans. These heightened senses allow dogs to smell the pheromones that evoke the human mood which also helps dogs pick up good and bad behaviors of a human.

This beautiful boy is a Rhodesian Ridgeback. He plays hard and he loves harder. He’s the first one to greet you at the gate and give you the best hugs. His best friend is Moose and we love watching them greet each other! Maverick and Moose are inseparable when they’re together and play hard all day long. Mav is a one of a kind and we love him here at camp! 💙

This distinguished boy is a rescue pup with Lizzy’s Lodge dog rescue and needed emergency surgery for a twisted lung and tumor that were both taken care of in the same procedure. With successful surgery, a medical grant from the Bow Wow Buddies Foundation, and caring team at the rescue advocating for Zach, he is now doing great! ☀️ After healing up, Zach is back to his happy and playful self as if nothing happened!
