My name is Emily and I am in the business of educating people on how to become their dog’s pack leader. With proper leadership, dogs of any and every breed have the potential to become the happy, family friendly dog we all love and enjoy.
I have experienced this first hand with my dogs who have inspired me to create this business. Dogs have always been a crucial part of my life. I am autistic and my first dog was a Pomeranian named Miley. I got her when I was six years old. She became my emotional support dog later in life. More importantly, she taught me how to love, that it was ok to cry, and that there is a language without words. She was the epitome of an obedient, family friendly dog. She passed away at the age of fifteen.
Two days later, I found myself in my local animal shelter looking for my next companion. I simply could not live without a dog. It was there that I found my current dog, Lola Mae. At the time, she was a ten month old PitBull mix. She had that “old soul” personality and calmness I knew no puppy usually possesses. She reminded me of Miley in that way. They say as much as you choose the dog, the dog also chooses you. When the staff brought her out to meet my family and I, she ran straight to me and laid her head on my lap. I knew then that it was meant to be. It has been three years since I adopted Lola Mae. Owning a powerful breed like Lola Mae came with challenges I had never faced before. Everyone saw the breed, not her heart. I was determined to prove society wrong. I began teaching myself the art of dog training. The more I learned and applied my knowledge with Lola Mae, the stronger our bond became. We now live peacefully with my family and their two poodles.
Dogs need leadership to grow and thrive in the family home. All dogs have the potential to be the perfect family dog. I want to help others experience the same joy and happiness I have experienced that comes from order in the pack. Let me help you claim the leadership role in your pack! 🐾
