We will be closed on 1/16 due to the weather. Boarded pets will be walked and fed throughout the day today, but we are unable to provide enough staff to open the practice for our services. We will attempt to open tomorrow. We are unsure if we will be able to open at a certain time tomorrow or even be open at all. Please check our page for updates. Does your pet struggle with osteoarthritis? Photobiomodulation via cold laser therapy is an excellent non surgical, non pharmaceutical option to alleviate inflammation and improve mobility. Beginning 5/25 we will begin offering cold laser therapy in our office. In order to help train our staff, we are offering complementary treatments that afternoon between 2 and 3:30 pm. If you are interested in your pet having a treatment please call our office at 205-208-0301 to schedule. It will be first come, first served, but you must call ahead to schedule. The greater Birmingham area is experiencing a canine influenza epidemic. This is a HIGHLY contagious virus. If you have a dog that has tested positive for influenza please keep it away from other dogs for 4 weeks. Yes, you read that right. If you have a dog at home that is coughing, and you have not had it seen by a veterinarian, please have it seen (call first, don’t just show up). At the time of this post we have not had any positive cases drop off or board at our facility: HOWEVER, dogs are contagious 2 days before they have symptoms, so it can be difficult to know which dogs have the virus. IF YOU HAVE A COUGHING DOG AT HOME DO NOT BOARD IT OR TAKE IT TO BE GROOMED OR GO TO DAYCARE.
