Hello,I must tell everyone helping others is hard but so rewarding!
I was in the hospital for Kedoasidosis and it almost took my Life it really changed me and how I see myself everyday. I am so happy to be alive even with the issues I have to deal with now the pain in my legs and feet from the water I gained because my kidney's and liver shut done and the fluid had no where to go so it came out my skin on my legs and feet. There where big blisters and they popped and left scars on my legs and feet. I am having pain burning pain all the time and it lets me know I am alive still. I was scared to walk for a while but by therapist at Care One and Adriot I was able to come back and do all I was doing before I got sick. Believe me you have to get help when your sick as a diabetic it is no joke. I met a lady who was thrown out by her son and spent the winter out in the cold homeless unable to walk without 2 uneven sticks but needed a wheelchair because she needs a hip and knee replacement. So being me I had her come with me and we both being homeless are looking for a place to live, I was not welcome back with my son because they did not want the children scared from me having medical issues. So we found a place in Newark for 1150. We can move in on the 3 of may we have been living in a motel for 3 weeks.
It has been good we can eat and shower and go and come as free as we want not controlled smoke times or eating times or do as they want in the nursing home. I was so scared from being in the nursing homes ! I never want to be in one again I hurt screaming all day and night watched people waiting to die, yelling for help and seeing them waste away day after day and care givers not giving care to them. How sad each day was for me and no happiness I had but the Light of God the few times that the Minister came to speak of God. My Shining Light. My youngest daughter came to see me in the start but it started slowing down as the time grew longer.
Everyone should think of those in a placement and go for a half hour just to say hi it is very lonely in these places and seeing a friend or a family member makes a week so much better really!
