Tortellini is making great strides in her socialization. She’s starting to accept scratches and gets excited to see me when I go to the pig enclosure. We’re so happy she’s part of the sanctuary

Tortellini and Focaccia are settling and becoming friendlier by the day. They loved their breakfast of egg and pig mash this morning. We’re so happy to welcome these 2 to the sanctuary!

Thank you everyone that came out to the farm today! The animal reveal is piggies! Tortellini is warming up to us very fast and already taking treats from us!

Big animal surprise for farm day tomorrow! Can you guess what new animal we welcomed into the sanctuary?

Just a rooster named Sam and his flock of Shetland Sheep. My meanest rooster has decided that my ewes are his girls. He sleeps with them in their stall, goes out to the field with them and rarely leaves them. The girls get annoyed with him but he’s so incredibly happy to have his own flock, even if they’re sheep.

Why is he such a weirdo? What Captain is lacking in brain cells he makes up for in personality. He’s my nanny goat which means I put all the babies, abuses goats, and medical cases with him. He takes care of them, protects them and teaches them how to be a happy goat. He came to me because he was going to be butchered because of his parrot mouth which doesn’t stop him from living a healthy happy life. This goat is worth his weight in gold to our rescue/animal sanctuary. We love you Captain! ❤️

Back by popular demand.. Goodnight Chuck! Chuck now lives in the coop with his father and the hens. A couple months ago he was attacked by a coyote but lived because I chased it off (the dogs were napping). He’s loving living in the hen house!
