We cannot keep up! There are resources for low cost spay and neuters. We share and we post clinic and voucher information. Yet there continues to be this problem. So no, we can’t take your litter of puppies or the stray dog that showed up at your house, from the county. We are trying to save these that are being euthanized for SPACE. Let that sink in…

Hi there, I was wondering if you do courtesy posts for other counties? we live in pike county and have been trying to find a home for a medium sized dog named roscoe. he is a yorkie mix we believe. He was left with us when his young owner had to move away. Unfortunately the owner cannot reclaim him. We have 2 reactive dogs and they bully him. I have gotten his shots and checkup. He is heartworm negative and on prevention. I am out of money to get him neutered, and very worried about him getting hurt. He is house broken, had been around other dog, cats, and kids, including my young son who is developmentally delayed and very handsy. Roscoe does like to chase cats, but he has never hurt one. He likes to dig and will bring you small game like rabbits. He will chase cars and is not great on a leash. Mostly because I don't have the time to spend with him. He loves to ride and bathes without much issue. He is a big old cuddle bug and would make a great family member for someone with time to spend with him.
