If at first you don’t succeed, try, try… a Gwen!

She thought she had found her forever home, but as it turns out Gwen is just not the pup for them. Now this poor girl is facing the reality of spending her foreseeable future in boarding, as the holidays approach and foster homes are sparse.

Gwen is a 1 year old Catahoula/mini Aussie mix weighing in at 25lbs. She seems to have her basic manners and doggy skills mastered. Her love for a canine friend, squeaky toys, and belly rubs are second to none. We recommend a home without small children as Gwen is mixed with herding breeds, and she does have the tendency to do so. She has tested well with felines but never lived in a home with them so slow introductions would be necessary. Like most herding breeds Gwen is loving, loyal and affectionate once she is able to build a trusting bond with her humans. From the owner : Koda is a female Rottweiler. Approx. 80 pounds. 13 months old. Very friendly, energetic and loves to play. Especially fetch. House trained. Great with people. Although friendly and loving, not perfect around small kids. No trouble with other dogs. Fully vaccinated. Not yet spayed. We love her dearly and want her to find a home that best suits her needs.

Surviving Puppyhood / etiquette Class
This class is a 6 week group class for puppies ages
9 weeks - 18 week of age.

You will learn how to teach your dog essential life skills such as:
-sit -leave it -doorway manners
-lay down - drop it - social skills
-come -go to your bed - confidence training
- leash manners
The AKC S.T.A.R Puppy test is offered on the last day of class
New class begins: Thursday October 17 th 6:00-6:50 pm

I get asked many times if people can come for just one agility / confidence lesson to see if their dog will like it . Some people are turned off when I tell them it’s a minimum of four . This is a clear example why . This is lesson one . We clearly didn’t get far .
