Thunder is ready immediately for his next adventure 🧭

He has proven to be a push button dog capable of joining a new household and adjusting to life with a committed handler in no time.

We're looking for someone new or experienced wanting to show in the conformation ring, dock dive, and run agility.

If you lead an active lifestyle as a runner, boater, and outdoorsy person this big guy will fit in with ease.

A couple who own a home with a backyard or acreage is preferable but that is far from required.

4 year old Australian Shepherd male. AKC. Parents are titled with health clearances.

Please research the breed and ensure a dog with energy and drive is the right match for your lifestyle.

Her previous prospective home is not able to move forward at this time due to serious personal matters.

Then there is Maia (AKA Moo) 😝

If our entries managed to make it in time, she will be on schedule to complete her Working Trial Championship in May 2024.

We have big plans for her right now but we will be on the lookout for her people as soon as possible.

She needs to work stock whether it simply be a beginner interested in taking Herding lessons or a farmer (small or large) needing a stellar right hand.

She'll may a nice sport prospect for a beginner or experienced handler.

Very people social. Loves being active. Traveling. Outdoorsy.

The type of dog that can be loaded up and go anywhere with her person.

Edit: Due to health reasons we are switching presenters. The May 1st meeting will still be on stewarding, but it will be presented by Pete Prawel instead. Pete is a breeder of Irish Wolfhounds and has been Chief Ring Steward so it will still be a great presentation!

Jerry and his wife Patti have had an interest in dog show world for over 20 years. Having retired from the financial services industry, he and Patti own and show Dobermans and have an all American dog. Jerry has been involved with stewarding for over 5 years in both AKC and UKC. He is an AKC Certified Ring Steward and is one of only six in the state of New York. Dog events cannot happen without stewards so come learn about the role they play. If you want to get more involved in the dog show world and don't know where to start, this presentation is especially for you!

Less training on him (as of this post) than his counterpart but that will be easily remedied in no time.

Resilience is the ability to experience hardship and successfully adapt to, or recover quickly from it. During adolescence, it can sometimes seem that a dog has little resilience. The neurobiology of adolescence is fascinating, with some key events that occur at this critical time of brain development, including motor skills, how the individual processes information day to day, and the ability to regulate emotions. Understanding these processes gives us an understanding of, and greater compassion for, why and how behavior can fluctuate at this life stage.

If you’re feeling frustrated or overwhelmed by your adolescent dog, take a breath and remember this period is temporary. 😮‍💨
