Copper is looking good now! Not sure what he weighs now, but he does not miss a meal! He has healed from his neuter and will start HW treatment next week.
He will be available for adoption . If you are willing to keep up with his heartworm treatment, he can be fostered with intent to adopt. We can talk about how his treatment goes and once he is cleared, we can complete the adoption.
He is a Happy boy with lots of Love to give.

Please bring them inside! Tomorrow temps will drop and so will the snow!! Shelters should have straw, water, food.
Be a responsible pet owner. If it's too cold for you, it's too cold for them.

UPDATE: This boy is doing better! He needs to stay at the vet for a few more days. His abdomen is now clear as he had lots of junk such as plastic and metal in there. He is on antibiotics and a slow feeding schedule as thankfully he is hungry and no more vomiting at this time. We have a possible foster home for him. He is a bit skittish of new people, but is doing good. We do have several adoption inquiries as well but this boy needs time to recover first. Thanks to all who have sent prayers for him.

UPDATE: Dog is now in vet care. Super emaciated. x rays will be completed on abdomen. On fluids and antibiotics. Thankfully heartworm negative. Prayers still appreciated !

Prayers needed!!
This dog has been found tonight in a bad emaciated state. Picture may be deceiving, but this dog is not stable and we are hoping he makes it through the night.....will be going first thing to vet in the morning.
Possible Dutch Shepherd, young, found as a stray in the Oak Grove area.
Please send prayers and good thoughts !! updates posted when available.

Update: Copper went to vet to be weighed!! Drum roll please!!!
He weighs 48.6 lbs ( was 41 week ago ) He loves food. He knows sit, shake, down ,stay. He will make a great family pet. He is young and active , with some training He has so much potential...
He needs a good loving home. He still has to have his heart worm treatment & be neutered. He is a happy boy.

Copper is doing good. Eating well.

Copper is approx 1 year old male Doodle. He is a sweet boy and loves attention. He can sit and shake. Very edger to please his human.
We are not sure if he is house trained but he does not make any messes in his crate. He will be neutered as soon as he gets healthier.

Copper is HEARTWORM positive! He will have to ungo treatment soon . He will thrive once his treatment is over. " donations excepted" can be made through our paypal link on page or call skyline vet 270- 886-6321 and donate towards medical.

He likes other dogs, loves people , unfortunately afyer coming out of his shell , he DOES NOT do well with cats!! He will chase and bark.
He is active and would love a family with children. He may knock down young ones but he is very trainable & willing to learn new things. He walks on leash ,but could learn to heal to help with this.
With some training We feel he will make a family one amazing family pet.

Copper had a professional cut and bath today. He is one happy boy.
Thank you for the gifts too. Toys, bowls,treats he thinks their yummy! We appreciate your Love and care for Copper. He is now one handsome boy.

This is Wynn he is a little over year old and his early life was not good so he is un-trusting of most people, cats, dogs.
He does not welcome pets just anytime. He takes a long time to trust anyone. He was in foster and did begin to trust them to a point. There cat was not happy so he came back to our center.
He is a good mouser. Would do best in adult only home or even an attached shop where he can have space to be his self. Someone to feed him and talk to him daily.
Unfortunately he will proably never be a lap cat. After time you and only you may be able to pet him if you give him space.
He is UTD on vaccines, neutered. He needs someone who's heart can open his eyes to a life outside of a cage.

Valentine day is special for VANCE, he has been without a home for more then a year. He has never heard a TV, family's talking and laughing. He has never smelled dinner cooking.
First few months of life was survival for him and his brother. It was running from people, dogs and other cats. Dodging cars and finding a warm place to sleep.
Vance just wants a Valentine who can give him a large space ( house ) to wonder and check it out. Good food, soft voice and a warm bed. He will slowly feel safe, allow pets from humans. He loves other felines so if you have a sweet lady looking for Love Vance is the Man!!!

What goes best with Red Hearts? A long hair Tuxedo kinda lady! Bo**er can be shy but that doesn't stop her from making friends.
She really wants a Valentine! She has a big heart and shares it with her humans. She just has not had any feline friends so she can seem grumpy to house mates.
She has never been with children, not sure about dog friends either. She does keep a fairly clean house and cleans her plate after dinner.
