Today is a very bittersweet day. After 13 years, I am closing my dog walking and pet sitting business. I have so many mixed emotions about this. Unfortunately it is what needs to be done.
When I first started the business, it was just myself covering a massive area. I soon began to realize I could not keep going like this and needed to hire someone. I did so much research and joined many different networking groups. I hired numerous employees through the years. The business grew in leaps and bounds, and as a matter of fact, was at its highest the year prior to Covid. Of course once Covid hit that changed everything. It has since been a major struggle and uphill battle just to keep our heads above water. This business is not what it used to be in any way, shape or form.
In someways I am so happy to get out of it and yet I’m very sad. It has been my life for 13 years. It’s hard to walk away from that.
Thanks goes out to all the employees that we have had and all the customers that have supported us . Without all of you, it wouldn’t have been possible all those years.
