This caramel orange tabby is as sweet as he looks. The foster family, baseball fans, named him Mantle since he was born during spring training in March 2024. At the foster home the kittens were loved on by their sweet mother, played with each other and the foster parents. Mantle likes to chase the ball, of course, and catnip toys. Another one of his favorite things to do is give head rubs and bumps. Mantle is looking for a new team to join. (No dogs or young children, please) Contact us to make Mantle your all-star. 🌟

This little fluffy delight is named Lala. Do you say Lah-lah or Lay-la? The choice is yours when you bring her home! Lala is fluffy soft along with being sweet and gentle. She had a loving family until someone got sick and they couldn't keep her anymore. Lala does like to play with you and the kids. Oh, and don't forget to brush her. Lala grew up with other cats and kids, but no dogs.

A fun-loving and handsome boy, Griffin is a great dog with a big personality. He lives happily with the dogs and cat in his foster home and is fine with kids. He loves his walks, outside time and to be with his people and is quick to belly up for a good rub. Smart and eager to please, he will thrive with training and an active lifestyle. He does pull on leash so he will need an adopter willing to work on that. A big yard or space to run off leash and to enjoy outside is a necessity as this will give Griffin the environment he needs to be a very happy dog. He is a 3-1/2-year-old shepherd mix and weighs 45 pounds.

The tail says it all - Muffins is a straight up kitty. She is curious and respectful when greeting you for the first time. Then Muffins gets the purring started along with the head rubs. Sharing playtime, or cuddling on the couch, with the family is right up there for Muffins, too. She needs a family that will keep her inside because Muffins is front paw de-clawed.

Hurray for Jasper! 🐈‍⬛ 🎉This handsome house panther was found as a stray and unfortunately tested positive for FIV, most likely because of his time outside. He spent a few months at our shelter before his new mom came to see him and fell in love! ❤️ Now Jasper is back to being a house panther again and maybe just a little spoiled! 🐈‍⬛

Sand Trap’s Chili Cook Off benefits AWL!
Mickey Wells (left) and Sandy Wells present Shelley Shepherd with a $665.00 check, the proceeds from their Chili Cook Off at their Sand Trap Sports Bar on January 25th. Eighteen different chilies entered the competition and there also was a 50/50 raffle split. Sandy said many generous patrons also donated their winnings to the AWL. What a great way to spend a “chili” winter day!

Our beloved Max has waited so very patiently on his perfect family. As it turns out, two of our volunteers who knew what a great dog he is, decided to make him a part of their family. Now he gets lots of love, attention and cuddle time with his people. Max is so happy to have found his forever and we are very happy for him! Max, you are an awesome boy!

Indie was found all alone in the Village, trying to survive at just a few months old. 😿 She spent some time at the AWL getting healthy and now she is loving life! ❤️ Indie has a sweet little girl and another kitty to play with... not to mention a very cool cat bed! Way to go, Indie! 🎉
