Tomorrow is the last adoption day before Christmas. We're open from 11:00 - 4:00.
We will be open BY APPOINTMENT ONLY on Tuesday, Christmas Eve. Please submit an online application at this link: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=gacr&method=online_form_html&formid=1
and a volunteer will follow up to make a Christmas Eve appointment.

Have you asked to meet Sukuna yet? No? You should!! Sukuna is one of the sweetest kittens we have ever met. She loves cats, dogs, and is just happy to be happy! She is always either purring or shaking her tail in excitement. She does well on a harness and she even had some reading lessons at the library!

Since Sukuna had so many health concerns when she arrived, she will remain in foster care until adoption. Make an appointment to meet her today!

All adoptions are special to us but this one is extra! Gilda has been our head "house" cat for many years. We are so grateful for an adopter who was happy to choose a 13 year old tabby girl who's kind of set in her ways. We know it will be a happy Thanksgiving for our Gilda and her new family. We will miss her very much.

UPDATE: Snowflake was adopted!
Snowflake is a special girl! She is Siamese with long hair and extra toes!! Yes, a polydactyl, fluffy, crossed-eyed, blue-eyed gorgeous senior lady. She's almost 13 years old and needs a very special adopter to respect Her Majesty! Will it be you?

Happy Friday everyone! And welcome to November. It is time again to share our pet of the week with you. We would like to introduce you to Athena. Athena is a wonderful 3 year old girl who has been with Guardian Angles Cat Shelter since March of this year. She loves high places and a good lap to be in! She can often be found playing with her best friend, Charlie. She was surrendered them when her previous owner had a change in their situation and was no longer able to keep her. She quickly decided the cat rooms were not for her and made herself a house cat, meaning she is often overlooked. The house cats are available for adoption too! Please visit The Guardian Angles Cat Shelter on Tuesday or Saturday between 11 AM and 4 PM and ask to meet her!

UPDATE: Tooter was adopted!!

Tooter would be my pick if I didn't already have a full house. This boy is playful, loving and so handsome. He enjoys playing fetch as much as he loves cuddling in my lap. He will make the best companion for a lucky adopter.

In memory of Max, each August grateful adopters, Genny Golden and Tim Karki, match the total of adoption fees as a donation to support GACR shelter cats. Max was adopted as a baby and lived with them until he was 12 years and 3 months when he crossed the Rainbow Bridge with kidney disease. He was an inspiration to this special couple who share their gratitude each year.
A million thanks to our friends, Genny and Tim. 🥰

Another volunteer pick; Sundance would go home with Tiff if she were adopting today. Tiff helps in the Thrift Store, shelter cleaning and fostering.
Sundance is a one year old neutered male that loves play time and people, but he can be a bit impatient with other cats. He needs a home with an attentive person to give him the one-to-one affection that he desires. Please give this sweet boy a home! Be like Tiff and choose Sundance.

UPDATE: Mia is still here! What on earth are you waiting for? She is the BEST cat ever!!

Marsha is a room cleaning sensation! She fosters, rescues and gives her heart to her shelter work. If she were adopting a cat today it would be Mia.

Mia is a 2 1/2 year old GACR "House Cat." She had 8 kittens and was a wonderful momma. Now spayed and ready for adoption herself, Mia greets visitors at the shelter door and LOVES to play fetch with her favorite ball. This sweet tabby is a volunteer's joy. She's fun, affectionate and smart! All she needs is a forever home. Maybe yours!

Frankie is a foster mom and helps in the medical room. Her pick, if she were to adopt today, would be Cricket, the kitten with the most unusual markings. She's a rare one!
