Prayers needed for all of us today. It has not been a good day already. We are at Salt Creek Vet with 24 rabbits. 11 of the rabbits our Stars No Kill Rescue. Amanda from Lucky Clover Rabbit Rescue is here with 13 of her rabbits to also be fixed, teeth floated and nail trim.

One of Amanda's rabbits was on the table to be fixed and she had cancer all through her. Unfortunately Amanda had to make a tough decision and it was best to let her go to the rainbow bridge. Amanda is heartbroken over this. 💔 Rex is the last picture of the bunny that had cancer. She is now pain free.

Please 🙏 the rest of the day goes well for all our rabbits 🐇.

Now for more bad news. Lori is in need of prayers 🙏. She may have torn her meniscus in her knee. She fell over her dog. She is hoping to get a mri tomorrow.
Our Thrift Store will be closed today.

🌟 🐕 Please meet Starla. 🐶 🌟
She is almost 6 month old lab mix. She is house broken, loves to play non stop with other dogs, she is good with cats and kids of all ages. She rides great in the car and enjoys her toys.

We are also looking for a foster home for her. We will supply everything you need for her. She does has alot of energy and would do great in a home with another young active dog.

We do require a vet reference your landlord's information and a home 🏡 check too.

***Update- huge thank you to Friends of Pets for taking this poor kitty in under their care.***

🐈 Cat found in Gordaon Nebraska.
We are assisting this poor cat that was rescued last night. The nice lady has posted it everywhere. He or she is possibly injuried and sick and possibly blind.

She called several different vets for help and one vet told her the first thing they will do is put it it to sleep. Shame on this vet!!!! They did not suggest they would scan it first for a chip. This person was so heartless and said they will just put it to sleep. The lady was so distort about this and could not believe a vet office would not even suggest to scan the cat first.

Please do not ask what vet, if they read this, they know who they are and I hope they will do a better job with customer service and show that they do care about animals well being before putting an animals straight to sleep. You always SCAN an animal when its found!!!!!!!!. 🏥 🐈

We do not know if this is someone's pet cat or a stray. It needs help and we need you to pray for this kitty 🙏. Thank you to the wonderful lady that brought this kitty in from the weather last night and tring to get the help it needs.

The lady that has rescued this kitty has reached out to us for help. She also has left a message with Friends of Pets. If no one comes forward, we will take the kitty in and the first thing we will do is have it scanned for a microchip. Then take the cat to our vet that does care about saving animals.

If we do take this special needs kitty to the vet for an exam and have it tested for Fiv and feline leukemia and if it's negitive we will need a foster home as soon as tonight. Is anyone about to help us foster this kitty if we do help it?

We do require a vet reference your landlord's information and a home check too. Please message us as soon as possible.

🐇 🐶 We would like to say thank you to you all for a great day yesterday. We have several pending adoptions, including a baby bunny. We meet so many wonderful people yesterday. Thank you Petco for your support and for having us at your wonderful store.

To everyone who donated and came out to meet Lucky Clover Rabbit Rescue that was with us at Petco, thank you.

We have PUPPIES, RABBITS, and CATS

The Breakfast Club puppies are Hollywood's babies. She had 12, and we are still in need of 4 homes. They may be shepherd mixes and some Chow. Mom, we are not sure on her breed. All the puppies are socialized and good with cats, dogs, and kids.

Izzy has 2 beautiful puppies left out of 8. She is a wire haired Terrier, Rio is a lot like his mom. Prince Eric is a border collie with wire hair, so he and Rio do not shed as much.

They will be a good size dog, mom is 60 pounds. They are 4 months old. All our puppies are litter box trained, and we have been working on them all going potty outside.

Please DO NOT SURRENDER YOUR OLD DOG THIS YEAR TO GET A PUPPY!!!!!

A pet is forever and until the end. Puppies learn so much from other dogs that it makes puppy training easier.

Puppies are not a toy or present to throw away when tired of them. A pet is a 10-plus year commitment, and it should always be treated as family members.

🐶 Our Puppy adoption fee comes with all the following:
✔️ They have been examined by our vet.
✔️ Have been tested for Parvo by us and was negative.
✔️ They have been tested for brucellosis, and that too was negative.
✔️ They receive three booster shots from Stars Rescue Staff member.
✔️ They will receive Kennel Cough Vaccine by STARS Rescue Staff member.
✔️ When of age, they will receive rabies vaccinations by STARS Rescue Vet
✔️ When at 6 months of age, they can be fixed by STARS vet, or if you would like to use your vet, we will pay $100 towards it, and then you paid the balance.
✔️ They will receive a microchip at 4 month old by STARS Staff Member
✔️ They come with an APPLE Air Tag GPS tracking device.
✔️ They also come with a puppy packet that includes a blanket,
✔️ Some of their puppy food
✔️ Some puppy toys
✔️ A teething toy
✔️ A busy bone to help with kennel training ✔️ A Tennis Ball to help teach them fetch.
✔️ A calendar of Puppies to say thank you for adopting them.

STARS No Kill Rescue does require the following in order to adopt from us.

✅️ You need to fill out an application.
✅️ We need to have a vet reference. This means we will call your vet and ask them several questions to see if you are a responsible pet owner.
✅️ We need to talk to your landlord. We need to verify proof that you are allowed to have a pet.
✅️ A home check is required. We do get pretty busy and will accept a video of your home inside and the yard.

🌟 🌞 Good evening everyone. I know it's late but I am at Mernards in need of your help. We recently have not found foster homes for several of our dogs. Because of this I need to build 4 more Doggie doors to be able to have all the rescue animals be inside. 🐕

The dogs with heavy coats are outside in insulted dog houses. But I do not want them to be outside in the cool. I have been bring the dogs in at night and putting them in kennels. If I have doggie doors put in then it will be so much easier for me and give the dogs a great place to be out of the bad weather.

They deserve to be inside and be able to go outside if they like. I do not need help with this, I am able to do it by myself. I only need help to buy the material. I hope to have 2 done on Sunday and the rest on Monday.

I am removing the drywall, covering the insulation with plastic, then putting the OSB Board over the plastic and then putting centered board up and tiling it. I also am doing it this way to help sound proof it more. I am not a professional but do my best to do it good. 🔨

Please help me raise $450 in the material I need to do things right for the dogs to come inside. Please donate to help keep them warm. 💰

The dog in this picture is Holly. She is one of the dogs we need a foster home for. She loves life but is best as a only pet. She is about 1 year old if that and a boxer and Pit Mix. She is always happy and can run like a race horse. She loves her toys and treats.

🌟 FOSTER HOME NEEDED FOR NOEL AND HER 8 PUPPIES 🌟

🐕 Hello everyone, Noel is in need of a new foster home. Where she is at currently, she is in a boarding facility and has broke out of the huge holding kennel area. Is anyone able to foster her and her 8 puppies in a home settling to make her feel more at ease?

She is a sweet girl and we will supply you with everything, the flooring to protect your floor or carpet, x large kennel, exercise pens, food, toys, kiddie pool with liter for potty training and food.

Please check out the second and third picture to see how we like things to be set up for them. Or if you have a spare room for them, that would work great too.

We do require a application, reference from your vet, your landlord information and a home check to foster.

We understand this is alot of work and hope to find a foster soon. If we can't I will need to figure out something at the rescue. All my pens are full, unless someone can foster an adult dog. But we would rather have them be in a home to get more socialized and training.

Please help if you can. We are so greatful for our foster for keeping her in a warm place for her and her babies. Thank you.

We are in need of a foster home for her as soon as possible. We will supply everything for her.

Peaches is just a little over 5 months old. She is a Pyrenees mix.

She likes walks and playing with tennis balls and squeak toys and also loves drinking water.

She loves other dogs, great with kids of all ages. Has not been around a cat yet.

Dislikes are hmm I’m not sure she’s just so happy all the time.
I’d say crates, she likes to roam.
Oh she does not like car alarms or fire alarms.

She barks when unhappy but Iv never taken her out and she barks usually if she’s thirsty or wants a walk. She does nip when trying to play.

She’s happiest outdoors on the balcony and such.

Stars No Kill Rescue is involved in helping a new rescue get help and support. Amanda is a Rabbit Angel ON Earth. She is starting a new rabbit rescue in Rapid City! 🐇 😇

Please remember, we can not help these animals with out donors and support. If we can not get help we can't help the animals.

She went ahead and took in over 40 rabbits and a turtle from a hoarder situation. Please do not ask where. This is a on going investigation 🔎.

Several of the rabbits were stuffed into small cages to where they could not move. Several needed vet care, several were badly injuried.

Amanda volunteered to take all of them into her personal home. She call us for help. We took 6 male rabbits to help her out and we are working together to get them all fixed.

Thursday December 19th we will be taking 20 rabbits to Salt Creek to get them all fixed, nails trimmed, teeth floated, and dewormed. This is going to cost STARS Rescue $1,500 easy. 💰

We are also going to have several of these beautiful rabbits at our adoption event at Petco this Saturday from 1 pm to 5pm in Rapid City, SD. They will all be looking for homes. 🏡 🐇 🐶

🐕 Exercise Pens Needed 🐶
STARS Rescue is in need of several exercises pens. We are looking for at least 6 more of them if possible. We have several new rescues and possible more coming in that we are in need of these as soon as possible.

If you may have any new or used pens that you may like to donate or would like to sell for a reasonable price. Please text Michelle at 605-515-3364. The exercise pens we would like use does cost $80 to $100 brand new.

🌟 STARS No Kill Rescue is 👀 looking for volunteers to help clean our Store Front in Rapid City. We would love to find someone that would be willing to deep clean our Cat Lounge, Doggie Gym, Vet Room and Bathroom. 🐈 🐕

With everyone being so busy with their schedule's and with me going back to work soon, I can not do it anymore and have so much other things I need to do. Plus now with my knees not doing good either, it makes it harder for me to bend down and hopefully get back up.

I know this is not a fun job to volunteer too. But please remember it's for the animals. This volunteer jobs includes:

The Breakfast Club puppies are Hollywood's babies. She had 12, and we are still in need of 6 🏡 homes. They may be sheperd breed and some Chow. Mom, we are not sure her breed. All the puppies are socialized and love other cats, dogs, and kids. Izzy has 2 beautiful puppies left out of 8. She is a wire hair Terrier, Reo is a lot like her mom. Prince Eric is a border collie with wire hair, so he and Reo do not shed as much. They do still shed. They will be a good size dog, mom is 60 pounds. They are 4 months old. All our puppies are litter box trained, and we have been working on them all going potty outside. Please DO NOT SURRENDER YOUR OLD DOG THIS YEAR TO GET A PUPPY!!!!! YOU ARE TEACHING YOUR KIDS WRONG WAY TO CARE FOR A PET. A pet is forever and until the end. Puppies learn so much from other dogs that it makes puppy training easier. Puppies are not a toy or present to throw away when tired of them. A pet is a 10-plus year commitment, and it should always be treated as family members. 🐶 Our Puppy adoption fee comes with all the following: ✔️ They have been examined by our vet. ✔️ Have been tested for Parvo by us and was negative. ✔️ They have been tested for brucellosis, and that too was negative. ✔️ They receive three booster shots from Stars Rescue Staff member. ✔️ They will receive Kennel Cough Vaccine by STARS Rescue Staff member. ✔️ When of age, they will receive rabies vaccinations by STARS Rescue Vet ✔️ When at 6 months of age, they can be fixed by STA

*** Update- Dave's celebration of life will be on Saturday Nov 23rd at the Best Western Ramkota Inn Rapid City, SD from 2 pm to 5 pm.**** 😭 Rest in peace, Dave✌️ ☮️ I am so heartbroken to do this post. Wednesday, I ( Michelle Brock) texted Deb and Dave to see if they made it OK to Hawaii. Unfortunately, they never made it because Dave heart stopped and had to be rushed to the hospital. I went up to see Deb and Dave for a couple of days while in the hospital. He passed away yesterday. I have been crying since Wednesday. It was so hard for me yesterday to do our adoption event. I want to thank everyone for understanding that I am not myselff. Dave and Deb have been angels for the rescue and me personally for over 10 years. They were not only incredible supportters but also friends. So many time, I wanted to throw the towel, but because of their dedication, loyalty, and hard work, I kept going. Every month, they would come down to help deep clean the rescue. Plus, they bring $300 worth in donations to our rescue. Poor Dave had the worst job to do. Wash the dishes. This included outside in the freezing cold and wind. I would hall the 5 gals of hot water to him. Dave and I would go to lunch together and have interesting conversations. This was 1 of my favorite times of the day. Every month, having Deb and Dave come to help was my therapy. Deb and Dave have been together for 51 years. Please pray for Deb and the family to get through this terrible loss. Dave and Deb did everything together, even walking their dog together ❤️. Dave, I can not believe this. You were a true angel. I keep crying for you, and then I cry harder for Deb being without you. Please help us all look after her, Dian, Mattie, Guy, and Gracie. You were loved more than you even knew. 🐕 So as many of you know. I broke my ankle a month ago. Things have been extremely hard on me to accept and it's not been easy to care for the animals on the days I don't have my Friend Kayla and her son to help. 🐶 So I am tring to find ways to make things easier for me. As you can see in this video, it is very hard for my to use my scooter because of the gravel. I use this scooter at the rescue because the tires are a little better then the other one I have. I have a dog leash tied around my waist to the wagon. At the end of the video you will see how far the dumpster is. A simple task as taking out the trash is now a long and hard process for me. I am desperately in need of help and I am asking if anyone may have rubber horse Matt's that they do not need anymore. If so I would like to place them from my house to the rescue and to the dogs pens to help me get around easier. To the trash would be awesome too. I have to lift my scooter to go anywhere at the rescue and it makes it so hard to get stuff done. I would buy the rubber Matt's but they are now $35 to $45 for just 1. Because I am not able to work I have no paychecks for months. I am currently selling my personal belongings to get by. If anyone has some rubber orse Matt's for cheap and willing to do trade for anything I am selling for them, I would be so happy and greatful to you. Please message me at 605 515 3364. Please meet our 8 pack of beautiful puppies. Mom is a 60-pound wire hair non shedding dog. We are not sure about who all the daddies are because they were rescued off the rez. Some are possibly border collie mix. Today, I will have these babies and their mommy at our store front from Today 12 to 8pm and Tuesday from 12 to 6pm Friday 12 to 6pm and then Saturday I will be at Petco from 12am to 6pm All the puppies have been dewormed, have their first booster shot, been seen by our vet, they have been tested for Brucellosis that was negitive. If anyone on Monday would like to volunteer to help me bathe and trim their nails, I would greatly appreciate it. Please come by to get a puppy fix. She was rescued from a very abusive situation. She is pregnant and will be going into fostet care soon to have her babies. She is one of the sweeties, lovable, medium size dog ever. STARS is about responsible pet parenting. We want to assist pet owners to be able to afford basic care for their dog or cat. We provide inexpensive services to assist with pet owners who have big hearts but not so much big pockets. Also, we are raising funds to get a facility to rescue. Our focus will be in Custer County, but we are able to assist anyone in and around the Black Hills.

Stars provide a Low Cost Micro-Chip Your pet for only $25 to help keep pets out of the shelters and to help keep them reunited back to their family.

Stars provides a volunteer service for Animals Search and Rescue.

Stars is working on the over population of Feral Cats with a Mobile Spay and Neuter Clinic.
