**February Trail Report**
There are lots of exciting things happening, although none of them are ...
Today we went to Crystal Creek in search of some; We found a crusty but peaceful and groomed snowmobile trail.

In other news, we are putting the "Mountain" back in Mountain Dog Adventures! At the end of this month, our furry family will be moving to Crawford!This means more room for everyone... Sunny, the dogs, chickens, my business(s). We will have a large fenced in yard, doggie door and a lot more improvements .We are so excited and appreciative for everyone involved.

Coming up in March we have some Kitty friends that we will be dropping in on regularly and maybe if we cross our fingers some snowy hikes!

Happy Saturday friends of the North Fork Valley!
Meet Mountain Dog Adventures ; a service designed specially for the active & spoiled dogs of the NFV! I specialize in extra & through weekly .
As well as private boarding, doggy daycare, drop in visits, and short walks, by request...

Hikes: Weekly pickups/drop off (10am/Fri), 3ish hours trail time, lots of play on local trails, basic obedience reinforcement ( I am not a dog trainer). Get a "Trail Report" & fun pictures of your dogs adventure!

Boarding: for friendly* dogs, at our semi fenced house on a small permaculture farm in Hotchkiss. Dogs staying with our family are treated as such... Lots of treats, sleeping on the bed, and playing in the pasture all day!

Drop in visits: for self sufficient dogs, cats, and small farms. 30-60min stay.

Daycare & Short walks: by request, limited availability.

Senior & Special Needs Dogs
Super Active Dogs
Puppies!
Small farm care (chickens, goats, etc...)

*December Trail Report*
It's cold out there and the dog squad has been choosing to enjoy the sunny Gunnison gorge!
It's been so busy I haven't posted a trail report in months...
As of late our friends Penny and Olli came to stay for several weeks while their mom and dad were on a honeymoon and we got a new puppy named Boone!!!
We are expecting several dog friends through the Christmas vacation and are looking forward to slightly warmer but powdery days to take our pack hikes on.

***June & July Trail Report***
the last few weeks have been stunning! After a few weeks of thunderstorms and being inside dog sitting, we are so thankful to be out in the wild flowers and teeming streams of U.S. Forest Service-Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre & Gunnison National Forests.
We spent a day in Hubbard Park drinking from panholes in rocks and sniffing wildflowers, with our new golden retriever friend Charlie. This week we have been visiting German Creek springs, where the dogs have been having tons of fun wrestling and dipping in the ditch.
We look forward to August and another month of adventures & new dog friends. Thank you to all my dog moms for supporting this. This job is a dream come true 💗🐾🥰

SPRING IS HERE! 😄💖🐾
The dogs and I cannot stop wagging our tails about spring's arrival. Green grass and tiny purple flowers are dotting the pasture at our house, in Hotchkiss. Our weekly pack hikes have become warm and invigorating; swimming has come back into our routine and we couldn't be happier!

**January Trail Report**
The month started with several snowy expeditions around Gunnison Gorge. Still can't figure out how to get down to that waterfall... But we will!
It seems our first "Fool's Spring"is occurring a bit early and the trails have melted into deep mud. That's okay mud is fun to play in too 🐾🫶🏼
We look forward to a February and March that hopefully has lots of snow for us to play in and the green spring that will come someday ❄️🥏🌱

*November Trail Report*
The trails are covered in snow and most FS gates are closed, until spring. Winter is here.
It is a time of the year where we are thankful for all the good things throughout the year and we honor/celebrate the things that have passed on to another place...
I'm sad to say that my sweet old dog, the inspiration for Mountain Dog Adventures ... my first puppy, Pete; was one of those things to pass this year... I dreamed since childhood of a dog; first opportunity I had, I brought this precious corgi puppy into my life... he was up for any adventure, to meet any new friends, he was the bravest sweetest and most loyal boy. He has summited peaks with me and hung out at my job baking with me. He's my best friend and I will miss him forever.

Please give all your fur babies a pet for me and give thanks, kindness & honor to all the good in our lives 🙏❤️🐾
