This allows our committee to review your application, and if approved, we will contact you to schedule an appointment to visit all of our adoptable cats and dogs. You can call your town office to find out which shelter your town contracts with. Currently, our shelter services the following towns: Amity, Dyer Brook, Glenwood, Hammond, Haynesville, Hersey, Houlton, Linneus, Littleton, Macwahoc, Monticello, Moro, New Limerick, Orient, Patten, Reed Plt, and Weston.

"We adopted him over mother's day weekend. He is such an incredible addition to our household. His favorite thing to do is sit in the window and chirp at the birds".

This is so wonderful, we are so glad he blended right in with your family. He was an awesome cat here at the shelter, so we knew he was going to make someone a great kitty. Thank you so much for the update on him. We do love them. 🙏❤️

🌟🐾 We have lots of beautiful animals still looking for their homes. Every one of these beautiful babies deserves a second chance at life or for the young ones, they deserve the first great chance at a wonderful life.🩷💙

Please consider adopting, as it helps save more lives. We adopt these fur-babies so we can help save more. That is how it works. There are so many animals out there needing homes.

As for the others, most folks knew what they were looking for when they came in as some did not and took their time! Either way ALL people found a loving kitten to bring home and add to their family. We are so greatful 🙏 ❤️

SIDE NOTE; We DO NOT HOLD kittens, we can not do this and do not do this!!! If you like someone you see, please make the time to come get them. There have been too many times we've held them and the people changed their minds, and that kitten did not get adopted when they had the chance to. Please understand this.

🦃❤️ A Thanksgiving Full of Love at the Shelter ❤️🦃

Today around 2:30 PM, Stephanie, Bart, Jackie, and I went into the shelter to serve a Thanksgiving meal that truly came from the heart. Earlier in the day, Kelley and her amazing family cooked a turkey and potatoes and lovingly brought them all the way from Blaine for our animals. Stephanie cooked the vegetables and brought them with her when she came to help serve dinner. Their kindness is greatly appreciated.

And none of this would have been possible without the donor who not only came up with the idea but also sent a very generous donation that funded it. Because of this one beautiful act of kindness, every single animal — every dog and every cat — was able to enjoy a warm holiday meal today.

Our dogs enjoyed a full turkey dinner.
Our cats got to enjoy fresh turkey.
And all of them felt loved. 🐶🐱❤️

We took pictures of each happy face, and you’ll find them below. We hope they touch your heart as deeply as this moment touched ours.

To our anonymous supporter… thank you for giving our animals a Thanksgiving filled with comfort, warmth, and love.

This amazing donation came from and organized by the Probate Court office. We can't thank you enough along with the dogs and cats. We actually used a couple of the wall sticks with peanut butter and they loved it!! Kept them busy for a while.

We appreciate everything you do for us, we couldn't do what we do without the help of you. Thank you so much!! 🙏❤️

🌟WOW🌟 What a day here at the shelter! Lots of people came, they saw, they adopted!🤗 some knew exactly who they wanted whike others took some time to meet all the kitties to find their perfect match.

We still have lots of cats/kittens looking for their fur-ever homes, so please consider adopting. We also LOVE seeing the adult cats be adopted too.💙🩷🙌 Thank you so much for choosing us to adopt thru!

🎉 A Very Special Thanksgiving Thank-You! 🦃❤️

We want to give a huge shout-out to a wonderful supporter of our shelter, who so generously offered to cover the entire cost of Thanksgiving dinner for our dogs this year! Because of this kindness, our pups (and kitties too) will be enjoying a special turkey dinner on Thanksgiving Day.

We’ll be serving their feast between 2 pm and 4 pm, and we can’t wait to share photos and videos of their happy faces!

Thank you to this amazing supporter for giving our dogs something extra to be thankful for. 🐾🧡
