🐾🌸 Easter Lilies and Pet Safety 🌸🐾

As Easter approaches, it's important to remember the potential dangers that certain flowers, like Easter Lilies, can pose to our beloved pets. While these beautiful blooms are a symbol of renewal and springtime joy, they can be toxic to cats if ingested.

Did you know that even a small nibble on a leaf or petal can cause severe kidney damage in cats? That's why it's crucial to keep Easter Lilies and other potentially harmful plants out of reach of our furry friends.

Here are a few tips to ensure a safe and happy Easter for everyone in your household:

🚫 Keep Easter Lilies and other toxic plants well out of reach of curious pets, or opt for pet-friendly alternatives like Easter Cacti or African Violets.

🐱 Educate yourself and your family about the signs of lily poisoning in cats, including vomiting, lethargy, and loss of appetite, and seek immediate veterinary care if you suspect your pet has ingested any part of the plant.

🌿 Consider decorating with artificial flowers or non-toxic alternatives to ensure a festive atmosphere without putting your pets at risk.

Let's make this Easter a celebration of love, joy, and safety for all members of our furry family. Wishing you and your pets a happy and healthy holiday season! 🐾💐

Easter is coming…Just a REMINDER: Lilies are DEADLY to cats. Even a little bit of pollen, which may fall from the flowers onto a table, be walked on by the cat, and subsequently licked off of the paw, can be fatal! Please do not purchase flower arrangements with lilies in them if they will be in a home with kitties. True Lilies, which include the Tiger, Stargazer, Easter, and Oriental varieties, and Day Lilies are highly toxic to cats. Every part of the plant, even the water contained in the vase, is toxic if ingested and only a small amount can be fatal.🐾❤️

If you find a lost dog or cat these police departments have microchip scanners to help reunite families.
Please message Shuma Chaudhuri if you would like your local police department to participate.

Most of these departments also will hold lost pets a few hours to try to reunite before bringing to animal control so always contact them.

Check out the growing list of police departments who help reunite found pets in their community. If you are a member of a Missouri police department and would like to see your police department on the list, please message Shuma ❤ .

It's time to sign up for our annual ornament drive!
Do you or someone you know own a small business? Do you want to set up a holiday donation drive at your school, church, community center, or secret superhero headquarters?
Well, send us an e-mail and we'll set you up! It's time for our annual ornament drive. We provide cardboard ornaments with a rescued dog or cat on the front and a few needed items listed on the back. You display them and invite your customers (/students/co-workers/congregants/other members of your underground crime ring... we don't ask questions) to "adopt" a pet by taking an ornament and making that animal's wishes come true!
There's no cost to you- just let us know how many sets of 20 you want and we'll deliver them. Contact Amanda at [email protected] to sign up!
