Yesterday was a busy day in the heat for sure. Got 6 horses worked.
Sugar, Sin and Rosè did good but forgot photos.
Bandit did great and we rode outside the arena. He's starting to figure it out slowly.
Piglet got a nice workout before getting pampered for the show.
Calliope was spicy as ever but doing so good. She may give some attitude but when doesn't she. She didn't like our long trot session but she did it.

Been a week since we added another paint to the crew.

Meet Sugar, she's a registered APHA mare.

You may see her in the show pen in ranch or western pleasure later this year. Ana is head over heels happy to have this great girl back in her life after about 9 yrs of not seeing her.

If you know Rocky and I you know we don't have the best relationship when it comes to riding. He is one of the very few horses that can throw me off. Well last year he came up lame beyond belief and we werent hopeful of him ever being sound again. Today we had our first official ride since then and he did great. Worked off leg pressure and was quiet even with all the wind. Best part is he was sound at all three gaits.
Honestly one of our best rides together. Maybe you'll see him in the show pen this year.

Some got worked some got looked at but Piglet is getting ready for a show season. Sin said she may be 28 but she will always be the best Arab around along with being the cutest. Rose and Duchess said look how good we look and how big Rose is getting.

Enjoyed some ride time on this big fella. This big walker was a sweetheart and great ride. He is gonna make his owner a fun trail horse. Enjoyed the sunshine while out and about.

Tidewater Equine Club puts on a great show season every year. With a great Awards Banquet that was just as great as the show season.

Hold My Beer and Ana won Reserve Champion: Halter Open Mini, Showmanship Adult Mini and Trail in Hand Mini. She got a beautiful Leather halter with a brass plate.
This was also both first time showing as a pair and Lt. Dan's first year showing.

A Thing Called Love and Elizabeth won Reserve Champion: Adult Speed and Open Speed.

Born to be Wild and Elizabeth won Champion Halter 5 & under mini.

Honey I Got Gold and Elizabeth won Champion: Halter Open Mini, Showmanship Adult Mini, and Trail in Hand Mini.

Invest in Shocks and Elizabeth won Champion Trail W/J Open and Reserve Champion Ranch Open.

Elizabeth also got Champion Overall High Point Adult.
With that got 2 zero Gravity Chairs, polo wraps, a hay bag, and a jacket with all awards Embroidered on the back of it.
Hoping for another successful show season in 2022 at Tidewater Equine Club.

Hold My Beer aka Lt Dan

2010 gelding
White with blue eyes

Dan here has come from a rescue situation and has come a very long way since I have owned him.

Dan stands to be clipped, baths and for the farrier even though he is slightly skittish around his hind end. He also loads great.

As of the past couple months Dan has been learning to drive and also to be a nice show mini. This year has been his first year showing. He is reserve champion in; Halter Open, Adult Showmanship and Trail In-Hand. He improves each year and tries his hardest for you each time.

Well Rose decided she needed to be worked with today. She said I don't like tarps today. Which we worked on and now she tries to eat the tarps when no one is looking.

Big day for baby Rosè this morning. Started with a pad and surcingle then added bells and a pool noodle which she didn't care about. Then we stood tied to get her hair done so we can tame it all to one side and her thick tail braided to help with the knots. Then we got a lesson in the cross ties to stand quietly. This one is going to go places.

Today we enjoyed the show. Everyone placed in all their classes. Invest in Shocks was great today and carried the amazing stars and stripes while bridleless. Hold my Beer placed on all 3 classes with Ana and placed with Blakely in their showmanship class. Honey I Got Gold placed in his classes and got some loves from lots of visitors. A Thing Called Love and I actually clicked and figured out our groove in speed she's getting better in ranch too. Invest in Shocks did great in trail and ranch also. Best of all Secretaria Heredera went and placed in trail in hand then after got her 11th ride was her 1st ride off property. One more show of the season for us for the 2021 season.
