Here’s an update from Laura on her two TC dogs. It sounds like they are doing amazing work! We love to hear stories on TC pups!!

Hi! I didn't realize it had been so long since the last update. Here is what's new with our two TC's. Sterling just turned 7 years old and Rusty will be 4 in May. They have both been competing in nosework and love it. Rusty has his NW1 title and will have his first NW2 trial in April. Sterling has his NW2 title and just competed in his first NW3 trial yesterday. He was amazing and got the first leg of his NW3 element titles in vehicles and containers. They are both phenomenal dogs. My most exciting update, however, is that I am starting them both in blood tracking with the goal of doing big game retrieval in Colorado and possibly southern Wyoming. I joined the Rocky Mountain Big Game Recovery group and have starting making contacts to help with their training. They did their first intro track this morning and I think they're going to pick up on it really fast. They're smart dogs and definitely have the drive. The main issue I can see for Sterling (he's a Koby pup) is that his drive is so strong for live game that he'll need to stay focused on the blood trail. Though, I think once he figures out that there is a deer, elk, or moose carcass at the end he'll do just fine. I'll do my best to keep you updated on how they do with their tracking! Hope all is well.
