We've been seeing a lot of dogs and cats with allergies flaring up lately, which isn't surprising given that we live in Houston. However, over the past 6 months, we've noticed several cases linked to a specific contact allergy. What surprised me is how reactive this common landscape filler can be, especially for dogs! If your pet is dealing with irritated skin—like on their belly, feet, or armpits—take a look around your yard for this plant (I really don't love its name, but that's what it's called). Just a little heads-up to help keep your furry friends comfortable!
