Many do not read books in their entirety. Karen Pryor herself states these 3 things in the preface/forward of her book Don't Shoot The Dog. The book was also originally written as a parenting guide. Her publishers changed the title.
I re-edited Caps 1st video to show just how bad he really was but to also show that when a dog is coming up at you and muzzle punching you in the face that a string up is not always the right answer. Were there times? Yes and those are not on here and there was few throughout the entire process. Why would I let a dog muzzle punch me in the face? Because he is used to using his aggression to get his way. I wanted him to know that it wasn't going to work with me. That I could and would reset him if he got too far gone, but that ultimately, I wasn't going anywhere. You can see his other videos on YouTube. I also wanted to show that a dog this far gone is NOT fixed in minutes like social media pretends. Found this old video. It just re-emphasizes the hypocrisy of some of these anti e collar positive only trainers. Just like the ones that abuse the tools need to be honest about what they do, the ones that harpoon balanced trainers need to be honest about what is abuse and not excuse because no tool was used.
