With Tropical Storm Francine currently in the Gulf, this is a great reminder to always be prepared—especially while we’re still in hurricane season! 🚨🌧️ While the storm is not projected to majorly affect the Houston area at this time, it’s always best to stay ready and keep your furry friends safe.

Here are some helpful tips to ensure you're pet-prepared:
🐶 𝗣𝗲𝘁 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁: Keep a carrier handy for safe and secure evacuation if needed.
🐱 𝗣𝗲𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀: Pack a go-bag with at least a 5-day supply of food, medications, bottled water, and comfort items.
🐕 𝗜𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Make sure your pet’s ID tags and microchip information are current.
🐾 𝗣𝗲𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀: Keep important paperwork, like vaccine and medical records, in your pet’s go-bag.

With summer festivities kicking off, we want to remind you about the symptoms of heatstroke and prevention tips:

-Never leave your pet unattended in a car
-When hot/humid, keep your pet’s time outdoors limited ​
-Keep your pet hydrated​
-Ensure your pet has ventilation and a cool environment​
-Dogs with short noses are at higher risk due to their condensed facial anatomy and restricted ability to cool themselves​
-If any signs of heat stroke appear, contact our team immediately. ​
