This adorable pup came to visit after getting a piece of hard plastic stuck in his mouth. 💔 But don’t worry—our team sprang into action! After a safe sedation, we were able to remove the foreign object, and now, after an update from his pet-parents, he’s back to his playful self! 🐶❤️

A veterinarian physical exam is a complete checkup to make sure your pet is in tip-top shape! The vet carefully examines key areas, like your pet's eyes, ears, nose, mouth, and teeth, looking for any signs of infection or illness. They’ll listen to the heart and lungs, check the skin and coat for parasites or any unusual changes, and gently feel the abdomen to make sure everything’s in order internally. The vet also checks joints and muscles to identify any pain or stiffness. Finally, if needed, a neurological exam is conducted for pets showing any signs of neurological conditions. This thorough approach helps catch any health issues early, keeping your pet happy and healthy for the long run.

Chester came to us with recurring ear infections that were bothering him quite a bit. To get to the root of the issue, we performed an ear cytology to identify the specific type of infection he was dealing with.

Thanks to our thorough examination, we can now provide the appropriate treatment to help Chester feel better! He’ll be following up with his primary veterinarian for continued care.

Ellie visited our hospital for an enucleation, a procedure to remove her eye due to a serious condition. Our dedicated team ensured she was comfortable, safe and monitored throughout the process. She is now resting at home with medications to help with her recovery and will continue his care with her primary veterinarian.

With the heat still in full swing, remember that our furry friends feel it too! Walking your dog in hot weather can lead to heatstroke and other injuries. Here's why: Concrete and asphalt retain heat, making it much hotter for your pet, and these surfaces can burn their paw pads. When it’s above 80-85 degrees, it’s best to walk your dog in the early morning or at dusk. If that’s not possible, keep walks short and stay on the grass. Always provide plenty of water and watch for signs of heatstroke, such as excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, and confusion. If you notice any of these, bring your pet to us right away.
