UPDATE 7/26: Karin TarQwyn... the K9 P.I., Angie, and the tracking dogs did an amazing job Saturday. It was an all day experience in 95 degree weather! We were able to eliminate the downtown sighting as her. We then went to The Rustic to see where the scent lead from there. It was really cool to see how all the dogs lead us to the same spot and lost the scent. It looks like from The Rustic, Eley went under the overpass at 59 and Polk St and started heading south on Chartres St. That's where we lose the scent. Either something bad happened to her or she was picked up.
Because there is a big stop light there, and she was used to jumping into a car, I believe she was most likely picked up. She was last seen at The Rustic on July 6th, and I was there on July 8th and I did not see any signs of a deceased animal. If she was picked up in a car, she could be anywhere. There was an Astros game that day so traffic might have been a bit backed up at that location.
We are going to refocus our efforts based on this information. I'm going to up the Reward to $3,000 now (no questions asked). I truly believe she's out there and I hope she's being taken care of! I'll be creating a new Facebook ad that I will push and I'll put up new signs with the higher award.
Overall, I really appreciate all the support and help! A HUGE shoutout to Dora Ponce for helping us in the hot sun all day Saturday. We're going to find her! It's just a matter of time!
