Since I was a little girl, I've always been loving, playing and taking care of my dogs and cats. I had several pets, e

ach one of them with their own personality and behavior making me loving each one of them in a very special but equal way. That took me to work as a Vet Technician and Pet Stylist for over 11 years. All my family, friends and customers were always asking health care tips and special grooming attentions for their pets every day and weeks and that is how the idea of ChicTails grew, because I wanted to share all my knowledge, experience and love for pets with everybody. In simple terms, I wanted to give the pets the best grooming experience, out of stress in a unique and safe environment. I wanted to remind you that ChicTails Pet Boutique & Spa will be closed this Friday, January 31st and Saturday, February 1st. 🐾

👉 I’ll be attending an event out of town, so please note that I won’t be answering calls, texts, emails, or inbox messages until my next business day, Tuesday February 4th.

Nothing says love like homemade treats for your pup! 🐾💖

Today, we’re sharing a simple recipe that’s both healthy and delicious for your furry friend. 🐶✨ These homemade Peanut Butter Banana Bites are sure to make your dog’s tail wag! 🐕🍌🧁

👉 Ingredients:
• 1 ripe banana 🍌
• 1/2 cup peanut butter (make sure it’s xylitol-free!) 🥄
• 1 cup oat flour 🌾
• 1/4 cup rolled oats 🍪

👉 Directions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Mash the banana in a bowl and mix with peanut butter.
3. Add oat flour and oats, stirring until combined.
4. Roll the dough into small balls and place on a baking sheet.
5. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
6. Let them cool completely before serving to your pup!

These treats are perfect for any occasion! Just make sure to store them in an airtight container. 🐾💕

Hopefully this week is better than last! 🌟

We enjoyed the snow and the little break it gave us, but things got wild after that! 📆 Saturday’s appointments had to be rescheduled because the water went out, and on Sunday (my day off that I decided to work to make up for lost days)… the power went out! ⚡️ But here we are, ready to take on a new week with a positive attitude. 💪

Houston Pet Parents: Cold Weather Tips for Your Furry Friends! ❄️🐾”

A rare snowfall is here, and with these freezing temperatures, it’s important to keep your pets safe and comfortable. Here are some tips to help:

1️⃣ Limit Outdoor Time: Pets can get cold just like us. Keep potty breaks short, especially for small breeds, senior pets, and those with thin fur.

2️⃣ Bundle Them Up: If your pet tolerates clothing, a cozy sweater or jacket can help them stay warm outside. Don’t forget to brush them often to avoid matting caused by clothes!

3️⃣ Protect Those Paws: Snow, ice, and cold pavement can be harsh on paw pads. Use booties or apply a paw balm to keep their paws protected and moisturized. Don’t have a pet-specific balm? Coconut oil works great too! Be sure to wipe and check their paws for cracks or irritation after every trip outside.

4️⃣ Provide Shelter: If your pets stay outside for extended periods, ensure they have a dry, warm, and insulated space to retreat to.

5️⃣ Hydration is Key: Even in cold weather, pets need plenty of fresh, unfrozen water.

6️⃣ Monitor for Signs of Cold Stress: Shivering, whining, or looking for a way back inside are signs your pet needs to warm up ASAP.

Houston, we’ve got a cold front on the way! With icy conditions and snow expected, safety comes first. That’s why ChicTails Pet Boutique & Spa will be closed on Tuesday, January 21st to keep everyone safe.

But let’s look on the bright side: colder weather means extra time to snuggle up with your loved ones—including your furry family members! Grab a blanket, a warm drink, and enjoy those cozy moments together.

Fireworks and loud celebrations can be stressful for our furry friends, so here are some tips to keep your pets calm and safe:
1️⃣ Create a quiet space where they can feel secure.
2️⃣ Keep windows and doors closed to muffle the noise.
3️⃣ Use calming aids, like their favorite blanket or pheromone diffusers.
4️⃣ If they’re microchipped, double-check your info is up to date.
