Bridging the Digital Divide
Today, City Council unanimously voted to approve Council Member Cisneros' allocation of her Council District Service Funds to improve digital access for under-served, under-resourced District H residents. Her funding will provide $100,000 to equip 550 families in District H with desktop computers.
Applicants for the computer distribution can register on the Comp-U-Dopt website at https://www.compudopt.org/houston. Once entered, families become part of the lottery pool to receive a computer. The randomized drawing of names will occur on Monday, June 15th.
SIGN UP NOW!
To qualify, recipients must meet the following criteria:
• Reside within District H (proof of residency will be verified by Texas ID or utility bill)
• Have children in the household who are currently enrolled in K-12 schooling

Families who are not residents of District H will be entered into Comp-U-Dopt’s ongoing computer lottery program.
