Meet Tex!! This handsome boy has quite an interesting story. His mom was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas and went into boarding while awaiting an adopter. The shelter did not mention she was pregnant! Tex was born in the puppy room at boarding in December, 2023. He has literally grown up there and he is ready to start his new life.

His mom was a 40lb short haired shepherd mix, but his dad must have been
quite the giant with luscious locks. Tex already weighs about 50lbs at 7 months!And have you ever seen a such a beautiful coat?!! He’s stunning.

Tex has been working on his leash walking and potty training, but would love a family that would show him the ropes. He is great at crating and goes right in, no issue. He does a perfect sit while waiting for his dinner, smart boy.

Meet Waffle Fry!!

This senior boy was found abandoned in a parking lot in Houston, TX. We think he is around 10 years old, and maybe a Chihuahua/Dachshund mix? He has the cutest little legs. He was overweight when found, but has started his weight loss journey and is now looking great at maybe 17lbs.

He’s super sweet, does not mind being picked up, super cute, great with other dogs, and a real catch!

He would love to find a home to live out his golden years. He is located in Houston, but we transport to the New England area and offer a foster to adopt option.

Meet Summer!!

This special girl is one true underdog. Summer is approximately 3 years old, 35lbs, and we think maybe a cattle dog mix. She is completely deaf and almost entirely blind. Sadly, she found herself at the city shelter on the euthanasia list, since she had medical needs.

She can see up close, so she doesn’t walk into things but things at a distance scare her. She goes out with lots of dogs and does fine, but sometimes in a crate can bark since she isn’t sure what she is seeing far away. She is lovely when you are with her, accepting pets and giving kisses.

She went to the eye doctor and clearly has vision issues including cataracts which may resolve but could come back. She may be completely blind in the future. The vet said it wouldn’t be wrong to euthanize!!! BUT we said no way, this girl has an adopter out there.

She’s truly a loving dog, and enjoys affection. She would do best in an adult only home, or with older kids since little ones would be too much for her. She is fostered with lots of dogs and does well, but needs a home either as an only dog or with a dog/dogs that are older or calmer in nature. Having dogs running and jumping on her is scary for her.

This friendly and playful pup is about 4 years old and 63lbs. Daisey is a loyal companion who’s always up for a game of fetch or a nice walk. She’s a great listener and loves nothing more than curling up on the couch with her favorite humans at the end of a long day. Daisy loves to make new friends - humans and dogs alike - so she’s always up for a day out on the town.

She is a puppy at heart, full of energy and loves to act like a goofball, so prepare for lots of laughs with this funny girl!

She is located in Houston TX but we offer transport to New England and a foster to adopt option.

Meet Roger!

This compact little dude is approximately six years old and 55 pounds. He is the sweetest guy and seems so gentle.

Roger was surrendered to the shelter by his family after they got a new puppy. Sadly, he was placed on the euthanasia list due to overcrowding.

We clearly don’t think he had the best life as he has no fur, or at least very little. He’s been checked by vets and has nothing contagious, just poor treatment. Now that he is under care he has started to ever so slowly grow back some hair, but we don’t know for sure that he’ll ever be able to grow a full coat.

Looking for a family that won’t treat him as disposable, because he has all the love in the world to give you.

He does well with other dogs, but could certainly be an only dog in his new home, since he loves the attention so much. One of his favorite things to do is sunbathe his n**e little body outside!

Located in Houston, Texas, he is able to transport to the north east, and we do offer a foster to adopt option.

Meet Jasmine! This sweet older girl was found wandering on the highway in Houston, TX. She was in terrible shape and had severe hair loss. Luckily a kind woman picked her up and gave us a call

Jazzy is estimated to be between 6-8 years old. We aren’t sure on her breed, some think Samoyed, some American Eskimo, some Chow? All we know is she is 100% cute and tiny at only 35lbs.

Although the hair on her back end and tail is still growing in, she loves to show off that tail wag to everyone she meets. She’s incredibly sweet. We think she would do best in a non-apartment setting as she likes to give a howl when she sees you come in.

🐶 Meet Fredrick🐶
Fredrick is a 8-9-year-old large breed with the gentlest soul. He is 65lbs, definitely underweight but is gaining some everyday! Despite their age, they still have plenty of love to give and enjoy leisurely walks, belly rubs, and snoozing by your side. They're fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and house-trained.

🏡 What We're Looking For:

A compassionate individual or family who can provide a calm and nurturing environment.
Someone with experience caring for senior dogs and understands their special needs.
A commitment to providing Fredrick with regular meals, veterinary care, and plenty of TLC.
Ideally, someone who is home frequently or has a flexible schedule to provide companionship.

Meet Frederick! This is one special guy. He’s a 8-9 year old boy who was found as a stray in Houston (but now in MA). He ended up on the euthanasia list due to space and we luckily were able to save him in the nick of time.

He’s about 65lbs now but definitely underweight, we are working on that and this boy loves to eat!! No matter his past, he greets everyone with instant love. He gives kisses and just melts into you for affection. He even knows some commands.

If you would like to provide this senior guy with a retirement home and show him what being part of a family is like, he would be so grateful.

He is located in MA and available for meet and greets with Newton England and NY adopters.

Meet Jill. She is a 36 lb, about 4-year-old, Carolina Dog mix who is looking for a foster (or adopter) in New England. Jill is very lovable! 💕She plays with other dogs but prefers to play ball by herself. She also loves to snuggle up on the couch or in bed and just chill. Jill has been making great progress as she learns how to walk on a loose leash but she is still learning and will need continued training.

Jerry needs a foster home in (preferably) New England (but NY is also an option). He’s a great dog with lots of interest but being in Houston prevents potential adopters from being able to meet him. He loves people & other dogs and would be a great house guest!!
Jerry is a lab mix (but only 25 lbs) who is around 2 years old. He’s such a fun little guy who loves to run around with all his dog friends, is full of life and exuberance.

He is so deserving of a family of his own. He’s had several adopters fall through because they couldn’t meet him because he is being fostered in TX and they are up north. The opportunity to meet families is all that is standing in the way of this sweet guy finding his forever home.

Jerry was found as a stray in Houston, TX and sadly ended up on the euthanasia list, simply due to some skin issues that have since been resolved.

Passion is looking for a foster home in New England while he waits for his forever families. He loves life and would be an easy placement, except that he either was born with reduced a**l tone or was injured. His tail doesn’t work (it just hangs) and he has limited bowel control. But he gladly wears diapers! He has solid formed p**p, but he doesn’t have full control over it. It’s not overly messy, just a small inconvenience.

He would be a phenomenal family dog for a family willing to accommodate him. He has no mobility issues and has urine control unless very excited.

Richie was pulled from the shelter euthanasia list and has been searching for a family for over a year now. He is so deserving of a family of his own. He’s constantly overlooked while all his pals move on to new forever homes.

Armani is still looking for his forever home! His papers say he is a 50lb, 7 month old lab mix. But looking at his teeth, we really think he is closer to 2-3 years. And he clearly has some bully breed in him.

Armani is a sweet boy who was found on the side of the road and brought to the shelter where he was loved, but his time was up due to overcrowding. This is one of the most underfunded and overcrowded shelters in the Houston area. He was stuck in a crate in the hall area due to no open kennels for months.

We scooped him up and he is just loving life. He loves to explore the outdoors and does pretty well on the leash for never having been on one. He loves to curl up on his dog bed and get lots of sleep, but he also has a lot of energy and would love a family who will properly exercise him and take him to basic training.

We think young kids may be too much for him at this stage as he’s still learning to be a family pet. He does get along with other dogs, but can have an overwhelming play style so would need a playmate that can handle him or teach him corrections.

Meet Bravo! This beautiful Husky/German Shepherd mix is looking for a forever home. She is almost 2 years old, and about 45lbs. She is currently thriving in her foster home with her fur brother, cats, and a 7 year old child. She also enjoys the company of other dogs.

Bravo is a young active dog, so her ideal family will take her on lots of adventures. She would love to go on hikes and get to run around. She's incredibly sweet and loves all people. She is a bit jumpy so older or dog savvy kids would be best.

Bravo inherited her beautiful eyes and the issues that come with them from her husky background. She had cataracts in both eyes when she was younger but the one in the brown eye has mostly dissolved and there is a chance the one in the blue eye will too. She was tested and does not have glaucoma, but she could develop this or more cataracts later in life. For now, she has fuzzy vision, but can see close, has good light perception, and can see hand signals. She is thriving despite this and is otherwise healthy. Per vet, she will not be going to pilot school any time soon!
